Plenty of gods to pick and choose from, you're free to make up you own deity. Acts of god we're quite well known and indeed, isolating the Bright to this land itself was a act of the gods when they split the land to physically get them away from Bright. Many gods both evil and good had their reasons to both fight against the Bright and save their followers from it.
