Alvaro didn't want to disappoint either of his parents and sought only to bring peace to the land.  After speaking with Nairo, he got his blessing to do what needed to be done.  They shared an intimate night after the news to solidify their love.  Sadly, Alvaro would leave and head to the Kingdom of Astalia, where he would live a lie for the sake of his kingdom and unity.
