Ethnicity: Black (Jamaican) Hair: N/A Eyes: Bright Brown Height: 5’7 (1.7m) Build: Vic has a slim but athletic build similar to that of a sprinter. Distinguishing Features: Vic’s most striking feature is that she has a bald head. Both of her arms are covered in elaborate tattoos and she is often seen wearing some type of eccentric trinket around her neck. Skill/Specialisation: - Expert in paranormal occurrences worldwide. - Extremely well versed in the mythologies and beliefs of many different cultures. - Expert in recording, documenting, and learning from unknown entities. - Handy with a knife (though as Vic often says, knives and bullets don’t have much effect on spirits.) Personality: Victoria is a naturally inquisitive and empathetic person. She has a slightly unnerving knack for asking questions that get right to the heart of the matter. Whether that be an unexplained phenomenon or a person. There are some who would say that Victoria prefers the company of the dead and the bizarre to the company of the living. These people are wrong. Dr. Badal just has a much easier time interacting with cursed mirrors and bloodthirsty monstrosities than she does people. It doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to be around people. Quite the contrary, she is intensely loyal to those she considers friends. The hard part is getting people to stay through her ramblings about the sociopolitical effects of ancient Chinese alchemical experiments. Of course with all this study of the supernatural and difficulty finding friends, Vic hasn’t had much time to do any…fighting. She hates it in fact and only learned how fight with a knife to put her father at ease. That might make things difficult with the folks down at SCP, who seem to love shooting at unexplained happenings, much to Vic’s chagrin. General background: Vic first ended up on The Foundation’s radar back in March 2015, when she accidentally summoned a demon as part of research for a paper. Impressively enough though, she figured out how to cast it back to…wherever it came from with minimum damage. Thankfully, she was smart enough to conduct her studies in the woods. Didn’t help with the fire situation, however. We had to pay off a few local authorities and the dean of her college nearby. Regardless, this incident piqued the interest of some higher ranking members in The Foundation. Fast forward to June 2018, SCP runs into her again. But she isn’t the emergency this time. An unknown sea creature had been snatching ships out of the water off the coast of Sicily and it seemed Victoria was hell bent on catching it. Our agents found her quite helpful actually and though they did have to riddle the thing with harpoons in the end, she managed to capture a few photos. Which we confiscated, she wasn’t too pleased about that. We run into her yet again, October 2019. She tells our agents she’s trying to finish up her doctorate and that she’s been tracking a rather unique brand of poltergeist that’s been rampaging throughout New England. This spirit seems particularly destructive and, in what must have been a bout of insanity, Victoria told our agents she was trying to get the spirit to latch onto her so she could experience the haunting first hand. Considering the thing had already killed someone, this seemed ill advised. Victoria and our agents worked together to contain the being and she managed to get some valuable data. This incident in particular caused some stirring among the departments. Victoria was starting to make a name for herself. Then most recently in April of 2020, an entire town was covered in a mysterious fog that trapped anyone who tried to leave. This time, Victoria reached out to us. It was her hometown in Jamaica. She and a team of some of our brightest scientists and most skilled soldiers braved the fog. They were gone an entire week. And when the fog finally faded, only half of them remained. Dr. Badal was one of them. That’s when we seriously considered her for employment here at The Foundation. - Report from an SCP recruiter. [/hider] Lemme know if you want me to save this for the OOC.
