Dr. Arnold: However, the position you've been chosen for might call for exactly that. How do you feel about that?

Wayde was critical of many of the Foundation’s operations from the very moment he was recruited to the moment he was assigned to MTF [b][REDACTED][/b] and even at this very moment. However, his critical assessments have often led to better operational outcomes when paired with more problematic MTF personnel.

He is innately aware of the nature of the Foundations secretive operations and it’s mission goals. Because of this, he is obedient despite his firm criticisms on many Foundation security protocols, or rather the lack thereof. He was consulted for many security concerns regarding SCP [b][REDACTED][/b], SCP [b][REDACTED][/b], and SCP [b][REDACTED][/b] and have greatly decreased the risk associated with the security of these entities.

As a team player, he often acts as an anchor that keeps those around him calm and focused. In his previous occupation as a Green Beret his nickname was [i]“Steely-eye”[/i]. This was because he was known for keeping his cool in even the most stressful situations. If the incident reports from surviving members of MTF [b][REDACTED][/b] regarding Operation [b][REDACTED][/b] then this nickname is well warranted.

General Background:

Wayde Jameson Ramirez was born in Manila Philippines on the 29th of April 1976. There he stayed until he and his family migrated to the United States on 3rd of October 1980. He stayed in the state of New Jersey until the age of 25.

Like many Americans, he enlisted in the armed forces after the September 11th attacks.  He would qualify for the Green Berets right out of basic and serve with his unit for twenty years. 

The Foundation would take special interest in him during his tour in Afghanistan conducting unconventional warfare operations in the Korengal Valley. A local village was suffering from loss of livestock and mysterious disappearances of a few local shepherds. A Foundation agent noted that these disappearances were anomalous in nature after unexplained phenomenon reported nearby the village began to increase. MTF [b][REDACTED][/b] and MTF [b][REDACTED][/b] we’re notified and an operation was quickly drawn up to use the Green Berets in the area to draw the entity out under the pretext of investigating insurgent activity.

The entity now known as SCP [b][REDACTED][/b] engaged the Green Berets. At 03:00 MTF [b][REDACTED][/b]  and MTF [b][REDACTED][/b] moved into the area in order to contain SCP [b][REDACTED][/b] before further intervention from the local and U.S. armed forces. However, the entity’s unexpected cognitohazardous abilities proved to be extremely dangerous and casualties mounted on both MTF units.

Wayde and his surviving Green Berets were able to assist the surviving MTF units in their containment operations. However, section leader [b][REDACTED][/b] noted Wayde’s apparent indifference towards SCP [b][REDACTED][/b] anomalous effects. While the Green Berets and the local community were dosed with amnestics and treated for any anomalous side effects caused by SCP [b][REDACTED][/b]. Wayde was ear marked as a potential operator for the Foundation’s Mobile Taskforces and was spared amnestic treatment and given a brief explanation of the Foundation and its operations.

Section Leader [b][REDACTED][/b] offered him a place in the Foundation as part of one of the Foundation’s MTF operators. However, Wayde declined, citing having to look after the remainder of his squad. He did however, part with Section Leader [b][REDACTED][/b] saying that he’d reconsider after his retirement, and until such time he would keep the events of [b][REDACTED][/b] a secret.

Allowing Wayde to retain his memories of his encounter with Foundation personnel and the incident with SCP [b][REDACTED][/b] was met with push back by higher level staff and even went up to O5. However, it was eventually determined through agents monitoring situations in Afghanistan that Wayde could be trusted to keep his word. The Foundation would approach Wayde again a month after his retirement and offer him a place in one of the Foundation’s Mobile Taskforces.
