Well ofcourse, one does not overthrow a noble family and gets away with it scotfree even if it is 150 years ago. 
After all more selfproclaimed nobility (as the de Tintagels are) does not a noble make, we'll see though how many are willing to overlook status for wealth and influence since most marriages are and were focussed on those things particularly.
