Behind the mask, The Countess rolled her eyes. Another worthless hero spouting off bland one liners. She didn't know who started the practice of turning an insulting phrase into a one liner or pre-battle taunt, but she hated them for it. Every hero did it. It must have been mandatory. Though she hated such lines and bravado, the reason she was rolling her eyes wasn't because of the scantily clad hero wannabe's line, it was because the scantily clad hero wannabe was just that. A hero wannabe. Another lamb come willingly to the slaughter. This was getting tiresome. The money was right in front of her, and this woman just had to get her fifteen minutes. With a sigh, The Countess turned her body towards the newcomer, ready to bring a quick end to the annoying conflict. And then the woman vanished. Completely. That caught The Countess off guard. Invisibility? How had she not heard of this before? Her suit wasn't geared for that. Of course, not installing infrared into her viewscreen would come back to bite her. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the attack coming, turning towards it to brace herself. The Countess put her hands up, the blue engine gear spinning into action again. It was too late. The attack landed and The Countess was sent backwards, tumbling out of the bank and onto the street outside. She hit the ground, harder than she would've liked, but she got to her feet. "So that's your game, then? Hide and seek? A child's game for a childish person. Hiding. Like a coward. All you insipid do-gooders are cowards. Instead of making a difference in the world, you instead seek fame. Fortune. Glory. Give it up. Run away and hide. You're just going to end up like all the others." The Countess spoke, all the while the engine on her back powered up. She jabbed both of her arms forward, the blue magnetic beam latching onto the circular door to the vault. With a strong yank, The Countess removed the door from the vault. She began to spin the circular door around like a lasso, like a sling, like a discus. But instead of throwing it, she continued to spin it, spinning it around in a circle, altering the heights, with the goal of making contact. Just because the woman was invisible didn't mean she was invulnerable. Once the door stopped spinning, once it made contact, she would know.
