Xander's human form is tallish and well-built, and he generally prefers clothes that fall under the punk subculture. He mostly dresses casually, in ripped jeans and ironic or vintage tee-shirts, though as he is a shapeshifter his clothes can be considered part of him, and he can change them at any time. He generally forgoes wearing his uniform, as it evokes the lineage of the Martian Manhunter, which he resents.

[hider=Teenager from Mars]Xander is a hybrid between a human and a White Martian, giving him a great number of fantastic powers. Foremost he is a shapeshifter, able to change his form into virtually anything to suit his needs. This makes him supremely adaptable, capable of replicating the effects of physiology-based superpowers, including super-strength, invulnerability, regeneration, invisibility and intangibility. Xander is also a powerful psychic, with immense telepathic abilities, which allow him to read minds, detect thoughts, communicate mentally, create psychic shields, and manipulate others with illusions and false memories. Xander also possesses telekinetic abilities, but he cannot exert any more force physically than his body can. His nine Martian senses are also supremely sharp, and he is beginning to develop his disintegrating "Martian vision."[/hider]

[color=limegreen][b]Gift Limitations:[/b][/color] The human parts of Xander's genome create a structural weakness in his Martian physiology. Essentially he cannot transform his body to the extremes most Martians are capable of without his DNA beginning to degrade and collapse. While as he practices his abilities his upper limits continue to grow, attempting to replicate powers as extreme as Kryptonian strength (for example) cause his body to literally deconstruct itself under the strain of his abilities. Xander also bears the Martian genetic memory that imprints their intense psychological aversion to fire, which can cause anxiety in him severe enough to cause him to lose control of his powers. Finally, Xander's alien biochemistry causes him to react to certain terrestrial substances in unpredictable ways, such as his addictive reaction to chocolate, particularly Oreo brand chocolate cookies.


[color=limegreen][b]Skills :[/b][/color] Xander has gotten by on raw power and talent for most of his life, so most of his skills relate to his various hobbies, such as playing the guitar, reading comic books, and watching old low-budget horror movies.

[color=limegreen][b]Brief History :[/b][/color] Xander is the son of the esteemed Justice League associate Miss Martian, and by extension the relation of the legendary superhero the Martian Manhunter. It is unknown who his father is, and his mother Megan seems ill at ease when the topic is brought up. The two have always had a distant relationship, with Megan often away on JL duties, and Xander left to his own devices. This has bred a certain rebellious streak in Xander, as he resents authority and considers most superheroes to be hypocritical bullies. His strained relationship with his mother and foster-uncle have made him dubious of his Martian heritage, and he takes pains to conceal his "true" Martian form at all costs. A series of petty crimes such as vandalism and theft have earned him the ire of the greater superhero community, and his mother issued him the ultimatum of either joining the Teen Titans to straighten out his act and learn responsibility, or to be sent to live at the reconstruction colony on Mars. Begrudgingly, he chose the former option, and has joined the Teen Titans South, though he continues to gripe about it to this day.
