Talismans are small slips of paper with Japanese characters written on them. He can use these Talismans in four ways: - Thrown Projectiles. Robin can throw a talisman a short distance. It will burn with a bright blue flame which is magical in nature, and behaves differently from normal fire. Once it makes contact with an intended target, the talisman will burst like a small fire cracker. If he misses, the talisman fizzles out. - Barrier. By throwing a talisman directly in front of himself, Robin can create an invisible barrier to block physical attacks. The barrier will last only a minute, though it can be broken if enough force is put into a strike against it. - Levitation. By affixing talismans to his clothes, Robin can fly. In the air, he moves as fast as he can sprint without tiring himself out. The talismans only work for 24 hours, and have to be renewed every day. - Summoning. Robin can enter into a contract with a Youkai. In exchange for more power for both parties, and continued existence on the Youkai's part, Robin can summon any Youkai he has contracted with. Currently, he only has one Youkai, a Nekomata named Narumi. When summoned, this two tailed black cat first demands an offering of fish for her assistance. And even then, she will only help to teach Robin how to better use magic. She will not engage in combat except to defend herself. Skills: Robin is a very quick study, and can read through most novels and absorb their information in less than an hour. He is also very skilled at calligraphy, which is good, since he has to make talismans every day in order to replenish his supply. Equipment: Robin always stocks up on talismans, and expends many of them when he imbues them with magic. But despite being magical, they are still paper, and cannot be used when wet. Personality: Robin is a quiet individual, preferring the company of books over people. He does help people when asked, but prefers to keep to himself in social situations. Biography: Robin grew up listening to stories from his Grandfather, who claimed to be inducted into a secret order of Japanese sorcerers known as Onmyouji during his tenure in Japan. No one took these stories seriously in his family, but Robin was fascinated by the idea of magic and Youkai. Robin long fantasized about having adventures solving incidents of Youkai terrorizing small towns and rural areas, and fighting with them to save the people from fear. When Robin's grandfather died, he was heartbroken. He knew that he would never again hear such incredible stories from his grandfather. But before he died, Robin's grandfather told him that all the stories he peddled were true, and somewhere in the house they were staying was a secret study that the entrance had been built over. Robin's grandfather encouraged him to find it. It wasn't until ten years later, when a meteorite came crashing down from the sky, that everything changed. The strike caused a wall in the basement to collapse in Robin's family home, which was now his. And behind this wall was the door to his grandfather's study. Robin sifted through the papers and documents in the study, and found not just accounts of Youkai and magic, but also spells, enchantments, and instructions on how to use them. But tbe most incredible discovery was that of a Youkai contract, which only needed a signature. Now, Robin has grasped the basics of magic, after some negotiation with his new teacher. And with this new power, he longs to fulfill his childhood dream, and carry on his grandfather's legacy. Anything Else: electric Pokemon [/Hider]
