Yeah beyond what I mentioned in my original post, the Whisper's memories along the the age and damage to the symbols makes it hard for him to figure out anything else. The Alter itself at least doesn't look [i]too[/i] damaged though it's probably suppose to look better than it does now.

Looks like this basically. Not all of them are the same, looks like they were drawn by hand, more more or less in this shape and configuration.
