"Right. Let's g–?" Matias tried to move Midnight forward, but nearly stumbled onto the floor. It seemed the boss had him anchored. "... What's wrong? Are your legs broken or something?" He pulled again. And again. "Quit being stupid. I'm hungry." And with one swift movement, Matias had scooped Midnight into his arms. He took a moment to adjust to the weight he was carrying before stepping out the door. The kitchen being right there signalled him to place Midnight down. He didn't need the embarrassment. He at least had the decency to walk Midnight inside, where he overheard the current discussion, but instead of chiming in he chose instead to sit down on the first available chair he saw. "No one slept well, huh?" he teased, "Sucks. What's cooking, dog man?"
