The young rat-folk huddled in a tree branch, high off the ground, feeling the sun on their un-hooded face... It was a perfect contrast to the cool breeze in their fur, and the scents of the surroundings made them feel loose and quite pleasant.

And then, Dris felt it. Felt the horrible, sudden sting in their skin, felt it somehow dig under their clothing and fur. It made them nearly fall off- NO they DID fall off their branch, careening down the tree and landing on the soft forest ground as they felt their body go numb, no matter how hard they fought it, felt things begin to fade, away, away... gone...

The moment they awoke, they jolted up onto their paws, looking around at-at- so MANY other people, too many people, too many figures, NONE TRUSTWORTHY, ALL DANGEROUS!!! And-and the light, the way it hit their eyes, made them snarl and cover their eyes with their hood, trying to adjust. They had lived in burrows most of their life, they weren't USED to these-these BRIGHT LIGHTS!

They squinted, their vision hazy, but slowly adjusting... and the sound of some- gross- MAN-THING from behind made them turn around, to see... some... LADY??? 

Dris didn't know what to make of it... so... not even taking a moment to listen to the woman talk, they hurled themselves RIGHT at the glass, scratching at it, trying to cling like it was one of their old trees.

Of course... since it was glass... they fell back down, landing on the smooth floor.

[color=8dc73f]"WHAT- THIS?! YOU-YOU!!! YOU STRANGE- Err..."[/color] Dris looked behind themselves at the sound of some... other weird man-thing... and stared at him in confusion...

And then watched him collapse to the ground in pain...

And the little 3 foot creature...

[i]Laughed[/i], and pointed at him.

[color=8dc73f]"AAAAGHAAAHAAA!! SSSSTUPID BAT-MAN-THING!! VULNERABLE AND [i]W E A K!![/i]"[/color]

Their voice was guttural, and goblin like, growly, and their teeth showing through their smile, they were sharp and pointed, rodent like!
