The reaction he had told her all she needed to know about the nature of their relationship even before he answered the question. He cared about her, truly. The way he was upset over Star not being there showed her that and she knew Noctis must be feeling the same way back on Eos if when the two talked in the dream world was any indication.

It made her really miss him… but she knew that he was capable enough to deal with the Starscourge, she fulfilled her duty after all. And he was the Chosen King, if anyone was more than capable enough of dealing with the plague and the daemons on their own, it was him.
