[b]Powers/Abilities/Weaknesses Description[/b]: Silvia exhibits many hallmarks of a specter possessing a physical form. When body and spirit are joined Silvia is much stronger, faster, more durable, and recovers faster than your average human. This of course changes when the two are separated. Her spirit can project itself free of her body and move independently, interacting with the world much like a poltergeist. During times of separation her physical vessel returns to it's normal capabilities and left vulnerable to weapons and attacks such as anyone else. Her spirit likewise, while it does not take physical damage can only be disrupted so much before it begins to fade and must return.

Knowing some of her vulnerabilities she has armed herself with some more conventional weapons, a handgun and blade. Though ideally she need not use them as she becomes more accustomed to their use.

*Being a semi-incorporeal spirit, Silvia does not age and is theoretically immortal. This extends to her physical form as her spirit maintains its health and vitality. Silvia can only be bonded to a single host until such time that it is killed or destroyed, at which point she will attempt to find and take hold of a new host. So complete is supplanting of the host that the body itself unnaturally alters and changes over time to match that of her spirit. In the event that she is unable to find a vessel after losing physical form then her spirit will eventually dissipate and will be no more.
[b]Backstory[/b]: Daughter of well off French immigrants, Silvia fled to the US with her family during the German invasion. Even though she could be considered upper class, she put in time to the war effort in manufacturing for both her old and new home. By all accounts her life should have been fairly uneventful as the close of the war looked to be in sight. That was cut short though as she was mugged one night returning home from work. Intending to leave her for dead, both Silvia and her attacker were shocked to discover that the young woman turned out to be powered as her spirit left her body. Shortly after Silvia's funeral took place and the family mourned. 

Her attacker was never found, but a month later Silvia seemingly returned from the dead without so much as a scratch. Death had left its mark though as the resurrected woman's personality had shifted dramatically. Whether from the experience, influences of her host, or some other factor, Silvia became focused on eliminating crime like a vengeful spirit. It's been nearly two years since the incident. While Phantasm is not yet a well known name, her elegant and professional flare has ginned up some talk among the growing vigilante circle.
