It wasn't as if the Nekomata had the right to say it. Well, yes, but also no. I depended on how one saw her actions, of course! See it expecting the same set of morals as one would a person, and they would probably come to the conclusion that she had done much worse before... But! And this was the most important part, look at it from the perspective of a cat or a Youkai? You know, [I]as it should be[/i] and it will be clear as day that even Rena's unspeakable deeds were filled with logic and reason, at the very least.

Never mind that they were actually caged, but the hospitality wasn't actually all that bad! They still had plenty of space to roam around, for once. As expected, Berit made no effort to interact with anybody, merely growling at any that approached the cleric, eyeing Dris as one eyed their just-prepared, delicious-smelling dinner and rolling those same eyes whenever anyone was dumb.
