The journalist replied, sympathy in his tone. "I'm from Florida myself, born and raised. It's a nice place, but I moved around a lot, from Florida to Arkansas, and I know there's greater places out there. For instance, Metropolis is shaping up to be a lot of fun." Jed looked around, seeing the citizens pass the building, and took a deep breath. This really was a city of Golden opportunity, and he loved it for that. The atmosphere is kind and welcoming, enough to make even he offer his services to someone in need. Whether or not any offers were from the kindness of his heart or all part of a sinister plan was impossible to tell, something he could take advantage of. Maybe he needed a few friends, someone to call in case he needed an alibi or a ride. Maybe even an extra hand. "Well," He said, holding out his hand for a handshake. "I'm Jed Olsen, journalist and soon-to-be reporter for the Daily Planet. I have an apartment just a couple blocks down, and it looks like you need to wash up, so how about we head down there. I don't have anywhere else to be." Jed's attention was turned to a newcomer on the scene, an enthusiastic at that. From the words he spoke, this person seemed to be new in town, much like Ellie. Lots of tourists today... "No worries," He replied with a smile. "Are you new here too?"
