Initially Bordev intended to act as a provisional figurehead until a proper replacement for Delvon was presented, as the late lord had no heir. A decade later Bordev still sits upon the Icespear families’ throne, retaining his title of Seneschal over naming himself as the new lord of Deadsnows. He does as he as able and rules the people as fairly as he can. Bordev is a well meaning man but criticized as overly cautious and at times frustratingly indecisive. He turns to his own advisor and the captain of the Watch both for input on important issues more than acting on his own volition. He was witness to the death of Lord Delvon Icespear and blames himself for Deadsnows woes. While he bears no ill will to Seneschal Bordev he views him as a frail leader and longs for the return of the wisdom of the Icespear house while reminding himself that his inaction made that impossible. He does his best to keep order and act as an advisor to the unsure Seneschal. A grim man Dal has little patience for those who waste his time or impede him in any way. An herbalists’ apprentice Gapip makes medicines, potions, and ointments that he trades to the people in his village in exchange for food, clothes, and other supplies. Despite his small stature Gapip is strong of will and brave when he must be. When in danger he relies on trickery or the use of his concoctions to escape a situation or disable a foe. [/hider]
