Though, not too unpleasant.
Just as the man was waiting for an answer from his partner, hand already tapping on his bag, letting meat samples of some game and some cattle fall onto the square plate when a sudden visit had arrived, somewhat rudely interrupting the pair's impromptu date. There wasn't exactly anger visible in his expression, but the rest of his body language absolutely elicited an annoyed demeanor, tapping on his elbow while waiting for the odd puppet to speak their part, being so loud about it... Luckily he had already left some meat on Berit's plate, otherwise she would probably be far too annoyed by this point. Hershel sat there, elbow on a free section of his leg, head resting on his palm lazily, staring at what could frankly be described both as a rant and a slight existential crisis coming from the weird 'kromer' loving thing... all with a slightly baffled expression. It only turned at the mention of a very specific phrase. 'I don't deserve it'. This in itself caused the cleric to raise an eyebrow, listening more attentively to the rest of the speal with interest... And maybe unsurprisingly, it conveyed at least a vague outline of their way of thinking, something that though he found too stubborn, the ruler also found somewhat admirable for someone to stick that strongly to their profession. For the first time since dealing with the puppet, the man was showing a smile while his hand extended, gently grabbing onto the bar being returned. "...hm. Alright then. I'll be taking that back... but since I found your dedication interesting, I'll give you some advice" Finally getting out of his lazy pose and straightening his back, his voice was loud and clear for the small business man to hear. "Integrity and reliability are key for business. Make sure to have both and products, and you'll do well" It was honest advice which was exacerbated by the tone lacking any fake politness. Just a whim of his, but interesting people deserved a chance in his eyes. Regardless, with that done and the bar securely pocketed into his bag of holding, the presence of the cute rat from earlier would not be missed on him, specially since it wasn't trying to hide or anything... he just showed a slightly indifferent expression, shrugging right after. "I don't know who they are... never introduced themselves, now that I think about it. Thought some money would get them to behave, I think they are not so bad now... but, I still want to have a meal" While speaking to the rat-folk, he rolled his eyes at the puppet for a moment before letting a sigh escape his lips. "So, if you have anything to say, do so soon." His eyes locked onto the rat, not sounding out of patience, just the slightest bit annoyed at the current situation. At the very least, his eyes were devoid of hostility towards the rat-folk.
[@ClownTown] [@Starmaker][@Spooky Birb]
