[b]Personality:[/b] Pit is the captain of Palutena’s Guard, and as such shares her goal: to keep the human race safe. He is heroic in every sense of the word, facing off against foes much larger than himself in the name of the light. He is often described as being insufferably cheerful and he loves to make jokes (although, he does often end up as the butt of Palutena’s due to his naiveté). While his confidence can definitely get the better of him at times, he still proves himself to be a strong and capable angel. He does have a few… questionable habits, though, such as eating food off of the ground and brazenly hopping into hot springs the moment he sees one. He gets lonely fairly quickly as well, especially in the absence of Palutena.

[b]Motivation:[/b] Pit, like the goddess he is affiliated with, has a strong desire to protect the humans. Whether that means battling with the Underworld Army, the Forces of Nature, or even invaders from outer space. Pit has a strong but simple sense of justice; if he sees a bad guy, he’ll fight them.

[b]Attributes:[/b] Pit is a skilled fighter, and is proficient in a wide array of weapons. He can wield Blades, Staves, Claws, Bows, Palms, Clubs, Cannons, Orbitars, and Arms in battle. Most of his strength lies in his ties to the Goddess of Light, Palutena, though he isn’t necessarily helpless on his own. His wings can provide him with a bit of extra height, but are mostly useless without the Power of Flight.

[b]Biography:[/b] At the beginning of the first game, Pit began as a young angel boy, trapped in the Underworld. Palutena, the Goddess of Light, had been imprisoned, so she entrusted Pit with a magical Bow and the duty of gathering the Three Sacred Treasures, defeating the Goddess of Darkness, Medusa, and saving Angel Land. Pit must journey through the Underworld, Overworld, Skyworld, and finally, the Palace in the Sky in order to gather the Three Sacred Treasures and free Palutena. In Kid Icarus: Uprising, Pit returns as the main character of the story. Pit's goal is to defeat Medusa, who was somehow revived from their first encounter. As Palutena guides him, Pit meets with many other gods and goddesses, as well as villains, both new and old. Once Medusa is defeated, Pit's goal changes to defeat Hades, who is revealed to be the one who revived Medusa. Pit also gains a sort of ally in the Goddess of Nature, Viridi, despite their initial meeting.
