An innocent life was taken, and we couldn’t do anything to stop it. We’re lucky they haven’t killed us. But if you act without thinking, you may get us killed. I will do everything in my power to protect you. Heed this blue assailant’s wisdom—It may prove itself beneficial.” Talk about the works.. The fusion, Aogami and Kurumi, were left completely constrained, bound by The Chosen’s grappling hook tightly holding together their legs. They struggled against it, afraid to cut the restraints with their laser sword, since The Chosen did carry a gun. Nooot the smartest idea. Making rash and thoughtless decisions on a whim was.. what they usually did, yes, because they had a heart of gold. They wanted to protect the weak, and of course, every human deserved to live in their eyes, no matter what they’ve done. They just couldn’t bring themself to kill another human being. They couldn’t imagine how much their friends and family would be devastated by the loss. Perhaps that’s why seeing the death of the thug hurt them so much. Putting themselves in their allies’ shoes, if that were their best friend, hypothetically speaking, he would mourn their death for the rest of his life. That being had an impact on other living beings, even positive ones. The act of doing that without any remorse, was.. Unthinkable for Nahobino. But it was the complete and utter contrary for The Chosen Hunter. They did it ruthlessly, without any mercy, without any second thoughts. Quick, easy, and immediate. The thug’s life was trivial in their eyes, despite the things they had done. Despite murdering and attempting murder itself.. They could have repented for it somehow! That person had friends and family, had an impact, had feelings like any other. They probably were dragged into a scheme or dark ploy without even knowing about it, used for some top dog’s personal gain and thought no more of than just a tool. Their lives, their deaths, meant nothing to that superior, probably. Nahobino didn’t know their entire situation. Death still wasn’t justified here. They could have changed the thugs for the better. That’s the thing with people. There would always be conflicts if given freedom. But that’s what made life so interesting. Everyone was different—the way they grew up, the ways their personalities were shaped, the environments they lived in to shape that personality, their ways of life, ideals.. Everything was different. They could have similarities, but ultimately, they weren’t alike. And that’s why there were two sides to this situation. A clear cut difference, between The Chosen and Nahobino himself, down to every last detail. However.. a challenge to the fusion’s philosophies were always welcome. “It still was an innocent life!” The Devil Summoner practically roared, Aogami managing to heat the Proto-Fiend’s body hot enough to burn the restraints off. They got back up on their feet with heavy panting, wary, biting their royal blue, soft lips, looking up with a scowl. “I don’t care what they did. We still could have saved them.. made them repent, somehow.” Seth returned into the fusion’s mind, dematerializing in a burst of bright blue light. As if prepared to fight, Nahobino stanced up in preparation. He guessed he did arrive a tad late. The explanation was useful, though. Quickly, they bounded for Cole, hoping to help with them for saving everyone earlier. He summoned Black Frost from the depths of their mind, and the mischievous jester hopped out with a pep in his step and hopping about, happy-go-lucky about something. “Hee-ho! My master with the luscious blue locks here wants to ask you if you’re alright-ho!” Where was Amanozako, their traveling companion..? They hoped to find them soon. They almost missed her high-pitched, slightly annoying voice bombarding him every five seconds.
