If that's what you want to do, feel free. Just so you know however. Trainers have access to free hi-speed jets that can take them to and from pretty much any major city. These jets are capable of circling the equator in 20 hours. Which means a trip to the other side of the world would only take 10 hours. And once there, trainers have free access to flying bikes/cars. 

So in other words, if you start somewhere and want to write up a reason to go to a different place, to "accidentally" or purposefully meet up with other trainers, you can do that. Even from the opposite side of the planet, you could potentially do this in less than 12 in-game hours.
