His voice is on the deeper side and tends to focus on what he feels is important. PMC: Global Securities, International is based out of Paris, France with employees from 38 different countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. The company has contracts in four different African nations as well as the island nation of Al Mitras. GSI prefers veterans of the French Foreign Legion as its members, but will take anyone who meets their stiff selection process. Education/Training: Guy graduated from École spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr in Guer, Brittany, Northwestern France with a Master’s degree in Military Strategy and International Relations. He successfully completed the 1er RPIMa selection and training including airborne training which lasts approximately nine months. When Guy was promoted to Captain, he attended the advanced Infantry School at Draguignan. During his formative years, he studied English which he is strong in. He can also speak German and Arabic and has a rudimentary understanding of the Bantu language and its dialect in Mumbaka. Background: Guillaume HÉBERT was born and raised in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis. After completing his secondary education, he tested to enter the national military academy and completed it successfully. He graduated from Saint Cyr in 2004 and then attended airborne training and the 1st Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment (1er RPIMa) selection and training. He remained a member of the French SAS for five years. When he was promoted to Captain, he trained at Draguignan, specializing as an infantry officer. He then commanded a company of French Foreign Legionaires in the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (2nd REP). He remained in the battalion as a staff officer after his command time ended. Then in 2014 he was assigned to the 3rd Marine Infantry Regiment as the regiment’s Operations Officer where he was promoted to Commandant. He left the French army in 2017 prior to being promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. As a member of French SAS from 2004 through 2009, he conducted operations in Bosnia in 2006 and then worked out of the cement factory in Kobani, Syria along the Turkish border from 2006 to 2009. While in Syria he acquired a firm grasp of the Arabic language as well as made contacts with several Syrians who would later join GSI and fight alongside him in Africa. As a company commander in the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment, he was assigned to Corsica. His unit was deployed to Afghanistan as part of ISAF, United Arab Emirates and Mali. His Arabic continued to improve in Afghanistan and UAE. In 2004, after joining the French SAS, Guy married Claire (née Leblanc) who he dated prior to SAS selection. They have a home in Plailly, France (northeast of Paris). Claire collects Guillaume’s paychecks which she uses to support her three children, Maximilien (14), Adélaïde (12) et Roland (10). The children attend Saint Dominique Middle School and Jane du Chesne Primary School. Claire also earns a living as an author of Romance novels. Her tales often refer to the soldier away from his love and their yearning hearts drawing them home to one another again. Absence makes the heart grow fonder is an oft expression in her work. Personality: Guy is very confident, a quality he earned from playing football in secondary school and later in his military career; gained from pushing himself to the limits and beyond. Guy is a decisive leader. He has the uncanny ability to see what needs to be done at the right time. When he decides on a course of action, he sticks to it and sees it through to fruition. Guy can be quite humorous when the opportunity presents itself. He tends to be relaxed and laid back quite often, not letting tense moments get to him. Some would call Guy an alcoholic as he enjoys drinking the Bordeaux wines a bit too frequently. Guy can be slightly nepotistic in his treatment of those soldiers who served in the French Foreign Legion (FFL). He favors these soldiers over others with an especial disdain for Americans and Brits. He finds both to be unnecessarily arrogant and boorish. Guy can be obstinate about his decisions. He becomes furious if a soldier questions his decisions and will not be swayed from his opinion. He is very stubborn on his opinions. Likes: Bordeaux Wines especially Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio from Entre-Deux-Mers, Cheese, Paris Saint-Germain Football Club (PSG), Game of Thrones, Crime dramas like Spiral & Braquo, Military History, Politics and his wife, Claire. Dislikes: Arrogance, British, Americans, German beers, Criminals and those who would worship criminal activity and people who repeat themselves unnecessarily. Fears: of being evil and of being insignificant Weaknesses: Guy loves his wine. He is the quintessential wino but refrains from drinking during operations. When the battles are won, he indulges. Can be bigoted about his nation. He is a Francophile to the point where he promotes all things of French origin above all else. The only exception here are those people from other countries who served in the FFL. He has a lot of respect for FFL veterans. Equipment: Multi-tool, dagger, boot knife, survival knife, compass, GPS, maps, photographs of the wife and children back in France, cellphone, parachute cord, candles, lighter, a few cartons of Gitanes cigarettes, box of Cuban cigars, and several books of historical nature on subjects like Napoleon, the Roman Empire and Charlemagne. A few members of Guy's Company: Many of these are veterans of the FFL. A few are not.
