Close to home, far too close for comfort in fact. While no doubt people of other nations saw the fallen star as well, it was Pataliputra who was concerned the most due to its proximity, therefore its sovereign immediately sent envoys to spread word that she was hiring brave adventurers to venture into the mountains and investigate the site, in return for very handsome rewards of course for Queen Maharani was no fool, she knew it'd be a perilous journey where even the best of adventurers would find themselves challenged. One of the adventurers who answered the call was none other than Srikandi Nagasari the Ksatria Naga. She returned home as soon as she could to answer the summons. However, behind the scenes, there was something more, something that the public missives didn't disclose. Srikandi was specifically summoned by Her Majesty Queen Maharani Darmawi herself to lead Pataliputra's expedition into the Dragonspine Mountains. The reasons might be obvious at first glance, the white-haired warrior was an experienced adventurer, came from a family with draconic heritage, and last but not least, could speak Draconic, she was the obvious choice if they were going to have any decent chance of success, she was called Ksatria Naga - Dragon Knight - for a good reason after all. Yet, there was another thing, a little secret task whispered to her in hushed tones. As Srikandi was a Pataliputran native, the Queen implored her to assess whether the fallen shooting star would be a threat to the kingdom's safety or not, and if the former, she was obligated to ensure it wouldn't be so for the sake of her own people, including her own family, many who lived in the nation's capital. Obviously, the honorable warrior had no reasons to argue as there was no conflict of interest here, both queen and adventurer wanted the best for their people. Now here she was, settled in one of the private rooms of Cendana's Adventurers Guild, waiting if anyone else would go along with her to the dragon-ruled mountains. While she didn't expect too many applicants given how dangerous the task was, there should be at least one or two brave souls capable enough to join. However, given the personal stakes she had over this duty, she'd go by her lonesome if it came down to it.
