Nancy’s yelling had been projected for the entire camp to hear, of course some would have been affected more intensely. ”Sorry, Janelle. I could try and help,” he offered, keeping his voice lower this time around. He rested a gentle hand on her shoulder and his hand began to glow as his power seeped beneath the layers of skin and muscle. Ezekiel shut his eyes as the power flowed up to Janelle’s ears and wrapped around her ear drums to soothe the sensitivity and stress they had been put under. Ezekiel pulled his hand away after, smiling a little because he healed her. At least that he could do. Leda spoke up about the Romans’ being stuck up and Zeke shoved his hands into his pockets. Perhaps Ezekiel’s judgment had been clouded about the Romans’ because he met Nancy and maybe all of this felt worse because Nancy was involved. Whatever it was, Ezekiel would have to let it go. He looked at Leda when she asked if hit his head and he chuckled a little, shrugging. ”Maybe.” Family came in all shapes and sizes and everyone that stood around Ezekiel in this moment and those who had backed him a short while ago, were Ezekiel’s family. He had always felt some sort of connection with certain members’ and a certain belonging at Camp Half-Blood but if any good was going to come out of the earlier fight, at least it was this. At least it showed Zeke that he did have people who cared, even if he was the camp shithead. Kristin surprised him most though by getting up and giving him a slight hug before stepping back. Ezekiel hugged her from the side, comforted but also reminded that even though Kristin was annoying, she had been his first friend here. She was at least good at introducing herself to the new people and making them feel welcome. She asked about Demetri though and how he was doing and a deep, gross feeling filled the pit of Ezekiel’s stomach. Shame filled him as he looked up, finding Demetri sitting with Andy and Arthur. He didn’t actually know how Demetri was doing. Ezekiel had been so wrapped up in his own personal guilt, he didn’t even check in with the demi-god he nearly killed. ”I’m not entirely sure,” he confessed. ”I asked Bryan to heal him though….” He’d have to find Demetri to check in. At least if he did that, he’d know how Demetri was and if Zeke got chewed out for nearly killing him, well then Zeke might feel a little better. Chiron wandered past them to speak with the Hecate cabin and Ezekiel tried to relax. Hopefully, no one else would have to deal with an Eidolon attack tonight. Ezekiel took a seat near Janelle and the others when Chiron started to address the camp on the prophecies spoken earlier. Ezekiel tried to listen to them as clearly as he could but his mind kept wandering. He started drumming his fingers on his leg and knee in an effort to stay concentrated. His mom used to joke about getting him into piano lessons because of how much he did it. Little did he know, it was simply because he was a demi-god and his mind and body were constantly in overdrive. From what he gathered; the prophecies didn’t involve him this time. The second one he guessed would involve a child of Poseidon, Iris and Hades. He glanced at Kiera and Leda, wondering if the new “it” couple would tag team it.
