Even when it finished pushing the Palestinians out of the West Bank, no one cared any longer. The bleeding hearts had their own problems to sort out. The Arab States, however, did not miss the complete occupation and in 2032, the Second Arab-Israeli War broke out. Like its forebears, the war was brutal and swift, but this time the Israelis did not settle for a status quo. They gambled everything they had and delivered a hammer blow to Syria and Jordan, ultimately wounding them so poorly that internal order broke down and civil war broke out between various religious groups. Egypt, dealing with its own internal issues and worried others might make a move on the Nile, sat the war out. The advancing desert finished what the Israelis hadn't and soon the shattered infrastructure of the Arab States began to vanish beneath shifting sands. The Famous Israeli Green Line was expanded to a massive wall, tied in with local geographical features, across the entire length of the country, serving to buffer the advancing desert from Israel heartland. Climate change brought not only the desert, but now random monsoons slam into the region and Israeli infrastructure, built to withstand the desert, has taken a beating. A few bright spots exist in the advancements of solar power, and new catchment facilities that serve to contain rain water for use throughout the droughts.

Current Issues in Israel
- ECONOMIC CRISIS: Like elsewhere in the world, Israel suffered an economic crisis. Spending on the military has been slashed and the advancing desert and intensely powerful storms are proving to be Israels best line of defence as well as greatest enemy. - CLIMATE RAVAGED BORDER: The savage and growing on desert on one side, and the rising sea on the other. Israel finds itself trapped between two inexorable foes. - HOSTILE NEIGHBOURS: Old habits die hard and despite being smashed into pieces and now overrun by the desert, many of the neighbouring Arab States remain hostile. Only Egypt, the more open minded of them all, has realized that there is strength in friendship and maintains firm in its peacetime commitments to Israel. - GOING IT ALONE: Long supported by American money and hardware, Israel has been forced to go somewhat "Mad Max" in order to start producing home grown equipment to make up the shortfalls. The time has come to look out for number one.

Territories of Israel
Modern Israel, including all of the West Bank and Jerusalem. The Gaza strip became an Egyptian Protectorate after the last war and all the Palestinians from the West Bank were transferred there.
