At this point, Srikandi knew the party was being watched, this feeling in her gut was unmistakable, honed by two decades of adventuring. However, she was no clairvoyant, she couldn't know what exactly were stalking the group. It could be goblins, hellhounds, gnolls, or even a basilisk. Regardless, her senses were on high alert as she prepared herself for a fight, but it's fine because this wasn't the first, nor would it be the last. Thus, when the "creature" pounced out of bushes, Srikandi immediately brandished Taring, the longsword's enchanted diamond edge gleaming even without sunlight, followed by her shield. Weapons in hand, Ksatria Naga flexed her legs then charged at the... shirtless bandanna-wearing bundle of muscles of a human man. "Eh...?" Srikandi stopped dead in her tracks, right arm still raised for a cleave, shield positioned in front of her with only the upper half of her face visible from Fei's perspective, but her slitted red eyes clearly expressed utter bewilderment. Then the dark-haired wanderer spoke in Common, introducing himself. She... had heard his name before, yes, Fei Bai Ho, the vagabond who sought opponents after opponents to challenge and prove himself, his escapades were quite infamous among adventurers. Srikandi had never personally met him before however, until now at least. "Wha-... what are you doing here then, Fe-" She asked, stuttering once as part of her being was still stuck in fight mode, but before she could finish, the martial artist suddenly performed his secret technique, Kowtow of the East! "Ah... eh-...? What?" Half of Srikandi was expecting that he'd challenge one of them for a duel as befitting his infamy, him begging for someone to feed him was definitely one of the last things on her mind, but reality proved otherwise. This was definitely one of those cases where real life events were stranger than fiction. While Eldhi was still bedazzled by the humiliating display, Anki moved first as she altruistically gave one of her water containers to the thirsting (and starving) man. Huh, did she even need to drink-...? "...?!" Before Srikandi could ponder further, the bushes rustled once more, and this time... it was much less amusing than a malnourished martial artist. Halfling-sized humanoid reptiles skulked and slithered, quickly encircling the party. Kobolds, the colorful pack was surrounding the group of five adventurers now, chattering and snickering. One of them, a red-scaled Kobold and the largest of the pack, took a step closer to assert his presence, then it spoke in broken Common. "Human give shines-shines, yes, shines-shines~" The pack leader stomped its scaled feet a few times, "Give shines-shines, Pack let human pass. Not give shines-shines, Pack stab human!" It enunciated with the confidence of a thousand man, then followed by its pack banging their weapons - no doubt stolen, scavenged, or extorted - against their chest, cheering their alpha. They continued for a short moment before the Kobold Alpha settled them down, then it spoke once more, licking its fangs greedily. "So, what human answer?" [@Medili] [@13org] [@Sanity43217] [@Shirly Swad]
