Antoinette had thanked Klara several times for her help and generosity. Antoiette thought of the creature often, thinking of her pet tribble, Arnold. She was slightly glad he wasn’t around at the moment. Arnold didn’t move around much like Guin’s pet. He likely would have been squished by now. Antoinette didn’t mind being back on the ship again. Their task was simple enough; altering Asgard to the space and time riffs that they came across so they could be fixed. It amazed Antoinette that something happening somewhere else could affect so many different things. She was currently sitting in the back of the ship, looking over her new paint set. She had been gifted it when they were on Asgard. She was told that anything she painted with these would pop off the page in a 2D image. She thought it was fitting for her illusion casting ability and was debating what she should paint first when it happened. The space around her seemed to shrink and then snap. She was falling, then hitting hard ground. Antoinette grumbled in pain before she pushed herself up onto her knees and sat back. Antoinette rubbed her head, wondering how many more head injuries she could really sustain. One thing was apparent though, they weren’t in space anymore. Antoinette heard Lance’s voice and then Guin’s echoing around the dumpster the three of them landed in. She pushed herself up, grabbing onto the edge of the garbage bin and looked around but didn’t see anyone else. Despite the moment, Antoinette had to smile a little. The two people she had been closer to at the beginning of her time with the X-Men but had drifted from since, were now the two people she was with. She wondered mildly if the universe was trying to say something. Antoinette pulled herself out of the bin and landed on the ground and wiped off her hands and knees. Guin was right, it was oddly quiet for New York City. They could see Stark Tower in the distance and were in an alleyway but still; there should be horns honking and people shouting. ”Whatever we went through, must be responsible for sending us here. Do you think it was one of those space riffs? Maybe this isn’t even our New York…” Antoinette and the others were no strangers to other realities so, it was highly possible, especially if they did go through a rift in space. The question now was, where were the others? ”Guin, can you hear Pietro?” If she had a connection with him, that surely would mean they were close.
