The speeding man was clearly not happy with the ticket but seemed to bite his tongue as soon as he caught sight of Jake. He couldn't exactly let them off with a warning, driving recklessly in such dangerous weather. It would set a bad precedent, or atleast he thought so. He wouldn't want to be the officer others go to for favours and such, after all.

Rain dripped off his loose raincoat as Jake sped walk back into his car. The other driver screeched off, almost spattering the mud and water onto Jake. An annoyed sigh escaped his lips as the car disappeared into the distance, under the speed limit.

The warmth of his car seeped into his core as he let himself simmer into the seat with closed eyes. His ears perked up, hearing his phone go off.

It was Senior Officer Levi Brooks. A newcomer to Sanctuary, but clearly experienced in his work, if a bit gruff. Levi had asked if he wanted anything from the Cosy Bear. He wrote up a quick reply;
