[indent]Jericho is a jaded individual, after a whole life of trauma. His chances at a normal childhood was voided by WWIII, meaning he doesn’t have much of an imagination or whimsical spirit. Jericho is very much focused on surviving, always trying to get just a little bit more than everyone else. That is why Khonshu appealed so much to Jericho as he was giving him power, and a promise to make more. Jericho hides that grab for power by being a social chameleon. Jericho is probably a sociopath, as he is very twisted but can fit into any situation, appearing as a positive person.[/indent]
[indent]Jericho is full of rage and needs a way to vent it. Whether that was being in the army or beating up mutant criminals, Jericho has always found a way to get rid of it without being called a psycho. Instead he exudes confidence and swagger, with many people flocking to him. This has helped him grow the Church of Khonshu, as he now has complete control over these acolytes, which gives him a rush.[/indent]

[b]Powers/Abilities:[/b]
[indent]As part of Jericho’s empowerment by Khonshu, he is slightly stronger, durable, and faster than other humans. This is modified ten-fold when Jericho is in moonlight. Khonshu has also told Jericho that he is now immortal, but this hasn’t been tested yet. Through his link with Jericho, Khonshu can speak directly into Jericho’s mind, providing him with guidance and knowledge. This psychic link also means that Jericho does have minor resistance to telepathic attacks.[/indent]
[indent]Even if he didn’t have his powers, Jericho would quite formidable. Jericho is in a very excellent state of health, with his body working immaculately. He is trained in several martial arts and various weapons, such as swords, throwing knives, and rifles. He also has training as a pilot, being able to operate planes and helicopters. He is also well read, a side effect of his parents both being University Professors.[/indent]

[indent]Born in 2035, Jericho was part of the first generation of children born after the Dark Phoenix Crisis. This was a world of darkness, but also one of hope. While mutants were still feared, for the humans it was a new age of rebuilding. The United States was quickly becoming the sole superpower, with their economy being propped up by companies like Stark Enterprises, Parker Industries, and Pym Tech. Jericho’s family had it better than most others, as they were both Professors at Yale University. Jericho grew in the academic world where he showed an aptitude for learning and research.[/indent]
[indent]But before this young wonder could truly bloom, international tension reached a boiling point when World War 3 broke out. The eight year old Jericho had to flee his home as the east coast of the US was bombed by foreign nations. Jericho’s quickly fled to the centre of the United States as both coasts were being attacked. When it became apparent that the war wasn’t ending soon, the family made the decision to try to get to Canada.[/indent]
[indent]But they would never make it, as a foreign army pushed forward into the central US. The army intercepted the Richter family, killing both of Jericho’s parents. Jericho would be put in a POW camp, now truly alone. Jericho remained there for several months, wondering what was happening to the world. He would finally get an answer when his prison camp was liberated by the American army.[/indent]
[indent]It would turn out that America had won the war, occupying a good portion of the planet. A treaty would be signed, creating the United Empire, the ruling party of Earth. Jericho would be one of countless orphans of the war, taken in by the United Empire. The new government would provide basic education, with a focus on occupational skills. Jericho would see most of his classmates go off into agriculture, engineering, or medical field. But Jericho would decide to join the United Empire Armed Forces.[/indent]
[indent]While going through basic training, Jericho would develop great skills as a martial artist. He would eventually be assigned the rank of private and dispatched out from America. Jericho would be part of a squad sent to quell riots or hunt down mutant targets. Jericho would go on these missions for several years, being a model soldier. That was until a mission to Egypt.[/indent]
[indent]Jericho and his team had been sent to find a hidden mutant settlement in the deserts outside of Cairo. When his team found the camp, they killed everyone, or so they thought. As his team’s helicopter was leaving, Jericho noticed one mutant get back up. The mutant then shot an energy blast, tearing through the helicopter. The vehicle then crashed into the desert, killing everyone aboard except Jericho.[/indent]
[indent]The injured Jericho would wander the desert, hoping that he was going in the direction of Cairo. After a day of wandering, Jericho was just about ready to die, when he discovered a cave. Inside the cave it was cool and Jericho was able to rest. When he awoke he decided to go further into the cave. He would find a hidden treasure room with a giant statue of the moon god Khonshu in it. The statue of Khonshu would speak to Jericho, offering him power if he were to become his disciple.[/indent]
[indent]Jericho agreed to which Khonshu said he needed to prove himself. The god revealed that the mutant who killed Jericho’s team had also found the cave. So Jericho took a ceremonial dagger and sneaked up the mutant, before stabbing him the heart. This act of revenge caused the powers of Khonshu to flow into Jericho. With a new purpose, Jericho left the cave and returned to Cairo. He would then sell various treasures found in the cave to become quite wealthy.[/indent]
[indent]When Jericho returned to the United Empire, he left the military and became a guru. He would also create a new persona, Eclipse, the fist of Khonshu. In this vigilante guise Jericho would hunt down mutant criminals. He would also start the Church of Khonshu, as a way of gathering power for the moon god. These actions did not go unnoticed by the government. But rather than punish him, they offered Jericho a position on the Ultimates.[/indent]
[indent]In the time since then, Eclipse has become a popular hero, with licensed merchandise and many more converts to the Church of Khonshu. He does have ambitions to take over the Ultimates and for Khonshu to take over the world.[/indent]
