Except get into grad school, apparently."

Name:
Amelia White (though she goes by Amy)
Age:
22
Birthplace:
Seattle, Washington
Employment:
College graduate, not yet in grad school
Personality:
Amy is a really fun time to be around, as long as you like staying up late and taking long hikes. She is an unfailing beacon of positivity, always ready to tackle anything that comes her way, and her energy runs hot from the moment she wakes up until the moment she goes to sleep, as long as she doesn't need to sit down at a desk. She has an infectious laugh and loves to use it. Her main issue is with sitting still. Late nights often finding her walking around outside or wherever she's living at the time, talking to people and enjoying the feeling of stretching her legs. Staying in one place for too long (like, for instance, college work) makes her feel super cooped-up and uncomfortable. She also tends to have issues with other peoples' boundaries. She so excitable that she can occasionally jump right past the stage where she realizes that someone doesn't necessarily want to talk to her if she wants to talk to them. And she doesn't realize that there's an issue there. So as much of a social butterfly as she is, she's perhaps too much of one.
Backstory:
Amelia grew up in the heart of center city Seattle, with a pair of loving parents and a pair of very protective older brothers. She had a really good childhood, all told. Had some issues in school because of her problems with sitting still in one spot for hours on end, so of course her grades weren't great, but she got it over with. College was easier; shorter classes and more studying, which she could do in different places and different times. Bowdoin was in a gorgeous place, anyway; surrounded my mountains, close to the see. It was then when her taste for the outdoors truly blossomed. After graduating with a degree in Environmental Geology of all things (something about it gripped her, and she didn't quite know why), she applied to a number of places eagerly about graduate schooling. Labs where she could work while she worked up towards a Masters, or even a doctorate! But nobody grabbed her up. Not even the safeties. Cause her grades kinda sucked. She shrugged and went on with her life. It was frustrating, sure. She really did want to pursue geology as a career now. But she hadn't had a chance to just...explore the country. It had always been academia and day hikes, with some occasional backpacking trips, during the school year. And at home, it had been helping out around the house. Big house, two older brothers with their own lives now. She didn't mind, but she was eager to see more of the land she was born in. So she set out on an epic road trip to hike all the way across America. And now it's brought her here, to the Upper Peninsula, and the Pioneer Springs lodge.
Miscellaneous:
Considers herself a hot chocolate connoisseur.
