[indent]Andrew is a lot like his father. He is intelligent, well-read, and has a very good memory. He is also a little too intense for his own good. What would you expect when your father is Steven Strange? According to his father, Andrew is a lazy slacker. Who has not spent enough time developing his magical gift. He has been but his father has been too busy to notice that his mother died, that Andrew graduated high school, let alone college three times so far. But the young man is hardly lazy. He is currently working on a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering and the second one in Peruvian History, while also performing as a stage magician. 

Andrew is: 
   Fit but not overly athletic.
   Intelligent but does not act like his father (Okay, everyone else is an idiot but you don’t have to be rude about it.) 
   A bit compulsive about things being just right.

[b]Powers/Abilities:[/b]
[indent]Andrew has some magical abilities but needs his suit to manifest most of them. Hypnotism is his strongest gift and he can use it in his normal life, though he tries not to. He can open portals but it takes a bigger ritual. He also uses magic to power his suit. The suit he uses to provide defensive abilities (aka he can get knocked around and keep going). His offense is his magic. 

As a student, he has been working on a mechanical exoskeleton that focuses and amplifies his magical powers. Wong has been helping him connect with the right people on the mystical side. New York University has been providing the machine shop. [/indent]

Andrew was born to a single Doctoral Student in History (Occult) who had been doing some research and had come to Dr. Strange for some assistance. With a magical mishap, the stars lining up just right and the needed body parts, Andrew was conceived.

The first two years of his life Andrew went to classes with his mother. When she graduated, he went with her to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she taught. 
On a Senior High School Trip to New York, he met Wong at one of the museums where Andrew was using his hypnotic powers on some cheerleaders from another school who was also on a field trip. Wong stopped the “party” before the girls were completely undressed. Andrew was 12 at the time and was already working on his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  

After completing his Masters, Andrew ended up in New York. Wong was a big part of getting him into the university and helping him get his magical training. His stage magic career started when he was young to keep him occupied and out of trouble. Most of the tricks are sleight of hand and misdirection or have a mechanical device to them. All of this fits with the way his mind works. 
 
At 18 he was mostly done with his Master's degree at started working on his suit.
Now his suit is working, though not perfectly (and it bugs the hell out of him).  [/indent]
