Shiori's family has a lot of tension, coming mostly from her high-class mother marrying a low-class man and never getting used to the life. The passive-aggressiveness between the pair ended up getting directed at the kid keeping them together, resulting in a somewhat bitter upbringing. Shiori took out her frustration on her classmates, complicating the family life somewhat.
[hider=idk if im including this yet]During the winter, her aunt contacted them, explaining that she wanted her daughter to go to a normal high school rather than a private academy so that she would be a little more appreciative of what she had. At first Shiori's mother outright refused, not wanting the rest of her family to know her marriage was nearly in shambles, but Shiori herself ended up going over her mother's head and agreeing to it, seeing it as an opportunity to leave her parents' house. And so her aunt rented out a small house just for the two girls, boosting up Shiori's living situation and saddling her with her somewhat dim-witted cousin. For the most part, Shiori found Ichika's lack of common knowledge to be greatly entertaining, less so when she nearly burned down the place trying to cook one day, though.[/hider][/hider]
