The ship's captain is a non-player character. Anyone can write for him. Fill him with the arrogance of a British aristocrat.

[color=fff79a][u][b]Captain David Leonard Knight[/b][/u][/color], (born 1971) comes from the upper crust of society. His father, Sir Charles Leonard Knight, served as a Minister of Parliament in the House of Lords for most of his adult life. The man was a commanding figure in the legislature. The younger Knight was obviously born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His self-superiority and arrogance are abundant. He has been known to berate lower enlisted sailors in front of the crew if necessary.

David Leonard Knight 50 served in the Royal Navy from 1993 to 2018, initially as a Helicopter pilot rated in the ASW variant of the Sea King, then as a Warfare Officer. He attended the Britannia Royal Naval College, also known simply as [i]Dartmouth[/i] where he was commissioned as an Ensign. He also attended the All Arms Commando Course authorizing his wearing of the Green Beret of the Royal Marine Commandos. Instead of accepting a position in 3 Marine Commando Brigade he remained aboard the HMS Invincible as an ASW pilot.  

Prior to promotion to Lieutenant Commander in 2005, David Knight transferred to the Warfare Officer School. Upon completion of this school and with his promotion, he was assigned as the Executive Officer of the [i]HMS Gloucester[/i] (D96), Batch 3, Type 42 Destroyer. In 2011 David Knight was promoted to Commander and given command of the [i]HMS York[/i]. 

While aboard the York, Commander Knight evacuated British citizens from Libya, monitored Argentine drilling activity near the Falklands and shadowed a Russian Aircraft Carrier task force north of Scotland for a week. He was the final commander of the York when it was decommissioned on 27 September 2012. 

After the decommissioning, Commander Knight was assigned to HMNAB Portsmouth working for the base commander. In 2015, David Knight was promoted to Captain and assigned Commander of the [i]HMS Daring[/i], Type 45 Anti-Air Destroyer. Captain Knight would complete his career in 2018 after 25 years of service in the Royal Navy. 

Shortly after his retirement from the Navy in 2018, he was offered command of the [i]Charles Henshaw[/i] registered with the Merchant Navy out of Southampton, England (UK). During his time in the Royal Navy he gained the attention of Prince Charles, Duke of York. The Prince supported the [b]Waverly Group[/b] which searched for lost artifacts from the ocean floor. One of the company’s ships is the [i]Charles Henshaw[/i]. Prince Andrew asked Captain Knight to take command of this ship based on his experience with the Royal Navy.
