He doesn’t exercise and so doesn’t have much stamina or strength, though he is capable of focusing on minute tasks for hours at a time. [/indent]

Zoren has always been intelligent, but really himself to his studies after his father died. His father had been a software engineer in their home country of the Philippines, where he met and married Zoren’s mother, who worked as an artisan in the markets. After moving to the United States before Zoren’s birth, his father was unable to find work in his field and took on a job as a janitor. He died in a car accident when Zoren was eleven.

Zoren’s mother worked as a maid and nanny to various families to support herself and her son after her husband's death. Wanting to provide a better life for his mother, Zoren felt the only way to do so was to pursue higher education to land himself a respectable job. Inspired by his father’s background, he began studying coding and computer programing from childhood and eventually was accepted into MIT.

Having to rely on scholarships and loans, Zoren realized quickly that it would be many years before he would be able to offer his mother the kind of life he believed she deserves. It was in the second semester of his freshman year that he began performing side jobs for extra cash. At first it was nothing terribly illegal, finding back doors into subscription programs to mine user information and data, for example. But as he continued to offer his services, which were always performed at high level with minimal detection and tracing, he began to be sought out for larger and riskier opportunities. Zoren eventually created his own website on the dark net for inquiries, where he was eventually scouted by Captain David Leonard Knight to join his crew aboard the [i]Charles Henshaw[/i]. The possible payout the Captain offered for the job was enticing enough for Zoren to leave his academic career behind. Deciding he could earn a sufficient living with his website should he need to fall back on it, he joined the crew while keeping up the act that he is still at university for his mother’s sake.

Zoren is quiet and intelligent, not only academically but also emotionally, and has a disarming charm about him. He is sarcastic and friendly, though more often than not prefers to observe from afar rather than be in the center of the action. He takes calculated risks and isn’t held back by very strict morals, though he prefers not to cause any direct harm to anyone. Zoren is curious and inquisitive but doesn’t always voice his opinions.
