[indent]Kristen was always smart, Rhodes scholarships don't come to those who aren't gifted, and King's Academy at least gave her some level of street smarts to match it, but after a torrid dragging through the tabloids in London, she's questioning just how much she actually learned in her time both in Palm Beach and at Oxford. The confidence she displayed in all her activities in school has evaporated, replaced by a hackneyed British accent and a nervous laugh.

The tension that seemingly slid off her in high school has all been settling on her lately, with everything provoking inner doubt and questioning. She's become timid in that regard, not wanting to offer up anything that could be construed as offensive or wrong. Her eyes dart around, as if looking for an escape. Maybe she finds one back in her old stomping grounds.[/indent]

[indent]Kristen Blake was born Feb. 9, 1993, in Stony Brook, New York, to college professor Linden Blake and accounts administrator Susan McCaffrey while both were working for the local university. The newly-minted family didn't stay in New York for very long, as Linden accepted a tenured position at the University of Miami in 1998 and the unit, now including Kristen's younger sister Brittany, moved and settled in Palm Beach.

Kristen was slow to make friends in school, as she dominated class time with her inherited smart and the "nerd" was usually left to their own devices. However, she developed the ability to hold back in time, and was able to parley her ability to have all the answers into solid friendships by the time she arrived at King's. This is where the young woman would finally make her mark outside of academic circles, as she grew into one of the most popular and desired students in her grade. She was the total package, with her brains keeping her marks sky-high, and her newfound brawn put to use on the volleyball court. She had her share of suitors, but aside from a couple of dalliances, she preferred to focus on her friends and her studies. She was named valedictorian of the class of 2012 and in a full-circle move, accepted a full-ride scholarship at the University of Stony Brook. She majored in Business Management and did well enough to earn a prestigious Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford.

At Oxford, Kristen allowed herself to indulge in more artistic pursuits while completing her Masters program, and she spent a lot of time indulging in local culture. It was while indulging at a local pub that she caught the eye of [url=https://fr.web.img4.acsta.net/r_1280_720/pictures/20/09/02/09/47/3549487.jpg]Aaron Shearer[/url], an up-and-coming striker with Oxford United who had been powering the Bulls up the tables. Kirsten was steadfast at first, but gradually, Aaron wore down her defenses and the two became an item as Kristen's degree was completed. Not wanting to face the possibility of having to move back to the US now that her life was seemingly ahead of her, Aaron and Kristen married in June 2018, shortly before Aaron made a £15 million transfer to West Ham.

The couple settled in a hamlet in Essex, and Kristen settled into the role of supportive WAG, spending her time managing her charity project and tending to the house. However, cracks soon appeared in the sterling foundation the two had built together. Aaron started spending more time in London after training and after matches, leaving Kristen alone in the countryside. Then the photos started emerging of the young Hammers star out at clubs with women on each arm, getting into fights on the training grounds. They hadn't found the home yet, but any time Kristen went in for work, paparazzi would be asking for comments, expecting her to go on Love Island as revenge. It started to take a toll, primarily on her mind, as the one time she opened herself up to love was proving to be a massive mistake. Aaron spent less and less time at home and more time holed up in his condo in East London. The last straw came when Kristen found a local paper blaring the headline "SHEARER SNIPS RING" about a viral TikTok video where her darling husband dared someone to try and bolt cutter the wedding band off his finger. He lost the bet but kept the finger, and Kristen responded with one of her own. She officially separated from Aaron in November 2021 and has been working through divorce proceedings. She's expected to keep the home in Waltham Abbey, but the question is, does she want it?

For the first time, Kristen is caught between worlds and unsure what her next steps are. The reunion came about at the right time, offering a chance to leave the country and clear her head amongst people who she hoped wouldn't be as aware of the missteps made across the pond. She's spending a couple of weeks back in Florida, hoping a return to the beach will offer clarity for her next move.[/indent]
