Ok then. Just curious about those parts ^_^

As for a character, this is what I have though keep in mind it's a "first attempt" sort of thing. The other problem is that I haven't decided on a Chi-Mechframe yet. Actually, I thought about him wearing full mech armor like the "Weissritter" from SRW and a long range support kind of unit but when compared to the other accepted character types, I wasn't sure if that'll fly with you.

At any rate, here's what I have thus far for a character:

Name: "Jake Armstrong" (Doesn't know his real name.)

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Stands around 6'2".

Personality: Jake personifies the typical "serious" and "soldier" type. Despite having a memory issue about his past, he always respects his superiors. He even talks in a "monotone" voice but on occassion has spoken normally if ordered to. A lone wolf type, he tends to keep to himself unless addressed.

History: Not much is known of the person that is "Jake Armstrong". His own name itself is just for IDing him. A name he just decided on a whim when told to give a name to ID himself. He doesn't remember his real name nor his past.

Though then again, from what is known, there are those that perhaps suggest that perhaps he best not remember.

From what is said, Jake was first found but other refugee's in some abandoned apartment buildings in the Bronx, New York area in the west of what remains of the USA. That was just after the Warped attack. Said refugee's were actually surprised that there were any survivors in the area but at the time, they didn't think much of Jake's circumstances.

But one thing Jake did remember was a certain creature crawling up his chest...towards his face...then darkness.

It got to a point where he rarely said a word to anyone. Not even about said "creature". Even trying to distance himself from the people that had saved him. Hell, he even tried killing himself but to his surprise, the other survivors prevented him from doing so. For better or worse, Jake was looked after by very strong willed survivors.

STill, he went through his days as if he were a zombie. Even in relief camps and military bases set up for any survivors of the Warped, he was always the one in that empty corner. Just sitting there. Though sometimes, he could be seen with a headset listening to music or some handheld gaming device.

Then one day, during a stay in a military base, a field medic wanted to give him a general physical as per requirement for any survivors staying at the shelter. Jake quietly complied, not caring whatever happened as a result.

It was there that the military became aware of Jake's "health problem" as they put it.

"...sign my death warrant then...", Jake had said, catching on to what they mean.

That's when the Commanding Officer of said base then gave Jake an offer. Become a living guinea pig and be given a reason to live. Harsh perhaps but Jake didn't care.

It was sometime afterwards during the testing, Chi-mech piloting and even military training that Jake had heard surviving nations were now scrambling for unique individuals like himself that "survived infection" from the Warped or Echidina some others said. As well as some seperate organization called "Horizon" looking to recruit such individuals. US military, though, made sure that Jake himself was exclusive to the US military. Even with the Warped, politics were politics it would seem. It didn't matter to him though. However, he did suspect that mindset would cause trouble...trouble that he may have to face and "clean up".

But then something different happened...his CO was shipping him out as part of some "good will" program.

"Normally, I'd wouldn't but we got to make sure we don't look like pricks for once...so...pack your bags Cadet Armstrong. Your going to Japan."

Skills: Despite seeming to have a death wish, Jake is surprisingly strong willed. He could take a lot of abuse both physical and mental and keep going if needed and within reason. Because of his military training, Jake also knows CQC or Close Quarters Combat and even outside of a Chi-Frame, knows how to handle firearms and even SOME basic first aid procedures. He's also perceptive, usually spotting things that others may miss. As such, he's a "Recon" expert: usually sent out first to survey a situation for the rest of his team before taking action with said team.
