Hello to all who is reading this general interest check, I have been gone back into my old T.V. shows of Criminal Minds, NCIS, CSI, and you get the drift of what I am trying to say here. I have been inspired to try and start a small group to large group based around the idea of a team working together to stop:
Serial killers, rapists, Child predators, kidnappers, abductors, terrorists, medical enthusiasts have gone bad, and many more insane things.
If you cannot handle talking about sensitive topics or are under the age of 18, I as the person who is looking for people please ask you to step away from this interest check. This roleplay will be based on T.V. shows, theories, real cases, and much more. It will go into the depths of scenes, evidence, and other things to get the story along. Scenes of violence might occur though they should always be written out and never shown through extreme graphics such as photographs. The main ideas: ☞ The roleplay will be guided by different cases. Some will be similar to each other while others will be completely out of this world. One case will be picked up and another even if it's important will not be picked up till the worked-on case is closed or dropped for rational reasons. There can be scenes and occurrences in-between cases (downtime, etc...) and those times can be skipped if the majority want them to be. These cases will be mainly created by me, taken from shows, stories, and real life so we have inspiration for cases. If you join and want to create guidance points for a case, we can discuss it. I will play all NPC's unless someone wants to pitch in help (these characters can be anyone from victims, local police, victims' families, and the predators themselves.) General Rules: ⚀ Listen to all site rules. Please and thank you. ⚁ No metagaming, a lot of things will be discussed in the OOC tab that should not flow into the IC tab without permission or informed knowledge by people who know it. For example, character one gets kidnapped by a serial killer who is named Bob. The other characters do not know who the killer is yet, so no one should know the name, face, or location of such a character till permission is granted. ⚂ Replies: This roleplay will ask for replies to be done weekly to bi-weekly. (Sunday to Sunday). Along with the time frame, the GM will ask everyone to at least keep replies over a paragraph (5+ sentences) unless it comes down to quick scenes of communication. Like meeting in the conference room and talking about a case. ⚃ Ideas and what comes down to it: If you have an idea, talk to me about it. If you want a certain story to be driven within a new case. We can definitely make it happen. Speak up if you want to participate in making bad guys up and how the story could go. For example, you can discuss the way you want it to go - that doesn't mean it will. I will be rolling for outcomes to have favors or not. Rolling, coinflipping and my last decision-making will make sure if our team catches the guy, gets the girl out safely, imprisons the woman, etc... ⚄ Consequences: What our team will be in is the BAU or something similar to it. Meaning we work for the government as high-ranked officials and what we do has consequences. Some more than others. If you shoot someone even if it's justified our senior director or whoever is looking over us might not agree. You might have to defend yourself and your actions against the higher authorities. ⚅ Last and not least, have fun. You're on a team who will support each other and get through things even if it's rough. What is this roleplay looking for? ◬ A team of roughly 5 people. I will be playing the unit chief (this doesn't have to count within the 5 characters) We will need field agents and special agents Technical analysts/communications Additions: Another thought to add on is that your person can be completely new to the job or this particular job. It might be easier for character development even if they worked in similar careers before or are right out of their studies. Though having all the characters new to each other will help establish bonds amongst each and see how they do with character building with each other. An Idea for my character:
My character will be the chief of the B.A.U. (a branch off from the F.B.I.) that leads the team that deals with gruesome crime scenes along with their owners. My thoughts on him so far are: - He did not come from a family that you would think he should have while getting into authority - He put years of his life into the armed forces - After the armed forces he participated in undercover work (for almost a decade) In this time he had a family and lost them all at the same time He ended up going off the grid for six months with another undercover agent all because a dirty cop leaked their information. This caused a major investigation but they were let go under the horrible actions caused to their families because of the head of the undercover investigation. He was given choices to continue his life and declined the retirement plan that they had for him. He ended up taking a job as a field agent for the B.A.U. - After joining the B.A.U. it took about another decade for him to become the Chief. - This timeline is from the age of 18-19 (when he joined the armed forces) to recent when he will most likely be in his late thirties to early forties. - Currently, he has been the chief of this B.A.U. for about 4 years.
Hopefully, this idea of mine can help you start building character ideas of your own.
