I'm leaning towards a young profiler right now. Will also have my sheet done within the next few days.
Go for it! It will fuel diversity and spice up interactions amongst the old versus the young.
I'm thinking of a doing a play on the "Final Girl" slasher trope for my character. Where after surviving an experience with a serial killer she goes into law enforcement and forensics to prevent other's from suffering the same trauma
That is definitely a good plan. Just don't play it unrealistically and what I mean by this, don't take offense. I have seen too many people have characters (in other roleplays of many different kinds) who go through tough situations and never hint or show it bothers them. Remember these characters will be people with emotions and whatever happened in their past even if they went through years of therapy could still bother them. Aka, issues with medications working sometimes. Nightmares. Even if they do not ever express it to others or they try to hide it. Remember to add that stuff into roleplay. For example, my character will definitely have some tough times since he went through being an expert sniper in the armed forces which gives him the traits of maybe being loud sometimes or too quiet. Even though he has had anger management and at least a year of therapy, he still has had issues with relationships since his wife died. There will definitely be some days since he lived as Josiah Greene for almost a decade; he might not answer to people calling him by his real name right away. So what I am trying to say is if that's a big part of your character think about the character's quirks they could pick up from such a situation happening in their life even if it was years ago.
