No. They aren't identical are they? Sort of they are somewhat identical, I think they are fraternal twins. Why don't you ask them? I am a bit scared to do so. How do you tell them apart? Despite being fraternal twins Agito and Akito share some similarities. Both some kind of bowl cut, though Agito's is defined by his undercut exposing his under hair buzzed cleanly. While Akito doesn't. Both twins are known for sporting a unique look. Agito has tendency to mix eastern and western clothes together, wearing traditional trousers with trench coats and western style clothing. Both brothers paint their nails. And both stand at 5'7". Agito is the one with brown hair and a lotus flower neck tattoo. Gender: Male Age: 17 [2nd year] Jujutsu Uniform: Agito's uniform is no different from his personal style and taste, usually sporting some kind of traditional wear, such as hakama style trousers, and either a yukata or trench jacket embroidered with the school on the back of the coat.

He's the one with the burn scar on his right eye. I wonder what happened. He's the one with black hair and I think his eyes are darker than his older brother. He tends to decorate his nails a bit more than his brother too. I think he's leaner than his brother too. They are the same height though and they are hard to tell apart from a distance. He tends to wear piercings and jewelry as well, whereas his brother doesn't. Agito prefers different colored shades that match with his nail polish, Akito prefers ear piercings and rings or bracelets. Gender: Male Age: 17 [1st year] School Uniform: Not too dissimilar to his brother's uniform, except he often doesn't wear coats. The Monody of Dyad is a Cursed Technique that the Twins share. It can be used separately from one another, but it increases in it's capacity based on the proximity of each twin. The Monody of Dyad give the Twins the ability to hypnotize, hex, and induce nightmares or create illusions and disrupt the senses. Depending on how the Monody of Dyad is implemented, which twin is utilizing which part of the Monody and if the twins are together. Cursed Technique Abilities: Agito's Monody- The Twins can use the Monody separately from each other. Agito's Monody focuses on inducing sleep, mild hypnosis. Weaving illusions when victims are awake; Suggestive Insomnia [Agito Alone] - With his cursed energy Agito can induce drowsiness in those around them. His Monody alone cannot put a powerful cursed user to sleep, though it has the potential to do so in weaker cursed spirits and cursed users as well as individuals without cursed energy. Hypnotic Allure [Agito Alone] - Gazing into the eyes of an individual, Agito can use his alluring appearance to induce hypnosis into them. This allows him to charm them into being friendly with him, if they are provoked. Or allows him to get them to charm them into thinking he's more trustworthy. Versatile, but Agito cannot influence those with higher cursed energy than he is and people can resist him. Daydream [Agito Alone] - Only on drowsy or dazed opponents Agito can start to slowly implant ideas into their head. Creating illusions to pester and distract them. Akito's Monody- Akito's Monody utilizes hexes, nightmares, and manipulating people's fears. Ghost Song [Akito Alone] - On drowsy, dazed, or opponents who are asleep Akito has the ability to induce nightmares. These can be exceptionally strong when he knows that person's fears to maximize the effectiveness of the nightmares. Hex Thought [Akito Alone] - On already weakened opponents, Akito begins to subtly transfer ideas into their head. This is how Akito's hexes work, on drowsy, delirious opponents or those who have lost the psychological warfare of combat, Akito can begin to suggest to them they are weaker in some capacity; "your legs feel heavy, it's hard to move," This can only be done on opponents who are in a heightened mental state. Monody of Dyad [Together]- Combining their individual powers together the Monody of Dyad becomes far more effective and powerful. Suggestive Insomnia - Becomes Induce Sleep - Instead of opponents feeling drowsy or tired, they instantly fall asleep. Unless they have the will to fight off the sleep effects. Alluring Hypnosis becomes more powerful, allowing the brothers to ask more questions, make more suggestions. Charm aggressors into not attacking them. Illusions become more powerful. And don't entirely require a person to be incapacitated for them to work. Specialty: Defensive - Supportive the Monody is effective at being a distraction and immobilizing enemies Drawbacks: Despite being quite powerful, the Twins abilities are reliant on proximity. When they are close together their power increases. When they are separated their cursed energy wanes between the two of them. The Monody of Dyad means that the Twins have a shared pool of cursed energy, that's not something that will change between the two of them even with extensive training. When the Twins are separate from each other, they have a slightly above average pool of cursed energy, but it's not quite theirs alone. They actually share a pool of cursed energy. When one twin runs out of energy, they begin to utilize the curse energy of the other no matter the proximity of the other. They have to be careful when separate not to deplete their own energy and start cutting into the other. The Twins cannot use their Monody to its fullest power if they aren't close together. The Monody begins to separate into two different abilities when the brothers are apart, but at its weakest potential.
Personality: Agito is the nostalgic type, despite his flashy clothing, and his flamboyance there is someone who has a great appreciation for history. It's seen in his fashion sense, or him holding onto sentimental moments and memories. He loves holding onto moments, and recording them down for him to look back at them later with a new pair of eyes. Probably how he got into scrap booking in the first place. He's someone who likes old fashion candies, collecting antiques [hoping they aren't cursed or creepy], and old clothes. He may not be the "bolder" of the twins, but he's never too quiet. Agito isn't hiding behind his twin, allowing Akito to do all the talking. Agito does plenty of talking, maybe even more talking than Akito does. He's the charming persuasive type, and he also isn't opposed to using his looks to get his way - especially with boys and girls who are interested in him. Sometimes Agito takes it a bit too far, god knows how many people's hearts he has broken in Jujutsu High because they think he's interested, only to realize that he has a habit of flirting to the point of making people fall in love with him. He's not all love struck puppy lover and heartbreak though. When it's time for Agito to get serious, he will do so. He's not lazy about it. Like his namesake, Agito is resolute in his decisions, to the point he is stubborn and unmovable. He can be quick tempered, when he knows he is right [even if he isn't]. Agito can often be the one of the two twins to quickly and easily get into a fight, especially when he's set his mind to something. If he can be talked down, then Agito will spend most of the time pouting and reluctantly admitting he was in the wrong. He's known to sulk when he doesn't get his way, and to get back into his good graces you usually have to make it up to him with some kind of gift. Luckily he's not picky if it suits his interests, a pair of sunglasses to match his pants, old hard lemon candies or cherry, mochi, or listing the things you admire about him will usually win him back over. Ironically like his namesake, Agito is also an exceptionally loyal person. It fits into his usual sentimental nature, where he holds onto people dearly, and suffers the consequences of losing them. There's a deep sadness, a melancholy if you will about the twins. Beneath the surface of candies, playboy flirtation, persuasive charm, and flamboyant fashion is someone seeking redemption. Agito seems to be reaching to make up for something he deeply regrets. A secret that him and Akito have never said out loud. Skills: Unknown Martial Arts Style - Agito uses a flashy style of Martial Arts, that mirrors elements of Bruce Lee's style. Which is waiting on the opponent to attack, tricky footwork and stylish stances: Scrap booking - Agito loves to scrapbook. You'll often see him sitting either by himself or with Akito, gluing and taping pictures onto nice stationary. It is going without saying that Agito will also go out of his way to find nice stationary for his scrapbooks. And spends hours in the paper store. Photography - A good scrapbook also needs good pictures. And the only way you're going to get good pictures if you take them yourself. It's really hard to print digital photos off your cellphone, so Agito owns a nice camera that he can take digital pictures and print them. Observational - It goes without saying, someone like Agito who is sentimental and likes to take pictures and record moments in a scrapboook is exceptionally observational. He notices details people might miss, which makes him an exceptional investigator - especially when it comes for searching for cursed spirits. Appraisal - Another fun hobby of Agito's is appraising old items. As someone who likes antiques and doesn't want to deal with forgeries he has learned to thoroughly inspect items. Making sure he doesn't get ripped off. Strengths: Detail orientated, observational, creative thinker, persuasive, and strong fighter Weaknesses: Stubborn, Quick tempered, can easily get his buttons pushed, despite being detail orientated can be distracted at times with his interest and hobbies or someone cute
Personality: The first impression Akito might give someone is the quieter out of the two. And some may mistake this quietness as shyness, as Akito doesn't interject near as much as his brother interjects. While true, Akito is the quieter of the twins, he is not shy nor does he cower behind his twin brother. Akito is the reserved of the two. Probably due to the severe trauma he had suffered in his past, Akito is more guarded than Agito, and unwilling to give much about himself. Unlike Agito, Akito, never fully formed his interest or hobbies as Agito did. Agito flourished and grew within the two years he has been in Jujutsu High. While Akito is still developing his own. Like his given namesake, Akito is bright and quite intelligent. He's probably a lot more analytical and observational. He's a people reader and can easily use his skills to get under a person's skin. Preferring mental warfare over physical warfare, Akito could be described as the darker personality. Though Akito is not malicious nor cruel. He doesn't take actions out of some perverse sinister intention. His personality and growth was mostly stunted. For a long time, the twins were treated practically the same. And while yes, both brothers enjoy sharing hobbies and interest together. Akito was never given the grace of being treated as his own separate person. His family often treated Akito and Agito the same, as if neither of them had motivations or goals outside of each other. This fueled a tension between the two brothers for a while. Though developed more recently as an understanding relationship now. They are much closer now being so far apart for as long as they have been. Of what Akito has defined of himself, is often in collecting accessories. He's known for his piercings and his false nails. Which he paints himself with nail polish he mixes himself, not very well. And despite his reserved nature, like his brother, he is just as confident in making decisions. Though he doesn't nearly hold onto his ideas long enough if he sees reason why his idea wouldn't work. He is much easier to let go and forgive. He can be prone to teasing others and being playfully mean, and sometimes forgets to make others aware that he is only playing with them. Which gives people a bad impression of Akito as the mean twin out of the two. He is just as loyal as Agito is. He'll stick by the side of those he deems worthy enough to call companions. He likes to use his flashy accessories to distract people from looking at his burn scar, something he feels deeply insecure about and doesn't talk much about it. He also has a fondness for books and poems. Skills: Analytical - Akito tends to survey his environment a lot. He's constantly making mental calculations, and reading the situation in order to make a proper assessment of what is going on. He often observes and then plans accordingly. Planning and Organizing - Akito is the type of person who likes to plan ahead and gather all the information before going into a situation. Whether it be dealing with a Cursed Spirit or making a new friend. Reading - One of Akito's past times that has lived on since he was young is reading books. He loves a good book. People/Spirit Watching - Akito likes to win at mental warfare and often this starts off by merely people watching. This is likely why Akito is often read as the reserved or quiet type, because he is usually sitting back and taking a person in before fully engaging with them. Poetry - Akito loves poem books especially and will often in his spare time, recite poems, or write his own poems. Not restricted merely to haiku, he'll write free form poems, even read them as well, and perform them. Strengths: Master of illusions and psychological warfare, analytical and observant, cautious, organized, well planned Weaknesses: Slow to react due to his observational nature, no physical combat skills, unknown mental illness [likely CPTSD due to extreme childhood trauma]
Maybe the twins were always destined for misfortune when their legacy began before they even existed. In fact their stories begin much earlier than they were even considered. It begins with the: The family may have fallen from obscurity in the public eye, but in the Jujutsu world the Sekiguchi family are well known as fraudulent deceivers. In medieval Japan, the Sekiguchi family received the fortunate prospect that they may become one of the great family’s when twins were born into the family, both with cursed energy. The rumors of today say the twins shared a cursed energy pool, though that may be speculation and the twins powers were considered separate to themselves. It didn’t stop the Sekiguchi family from declaring the powers were similar. Or declaring that the twins' Cursed Technique was Inherited. The family would spend many hours deceiving others, and scamming the Jujutsu world of their family’s Inherited gifts. Perhaps it was karma for the family’s deception, or perhaps it was fate, but neither twin of the Sekiguchi family ever provided a curse child to bear. And the family’s deception was revealed. The family had been living off the backs of exploiting Mizuki and Suzuki’s cursed energy for years. In fact not many of their household had the capability of becoming sorcerers themselves. When their deception was revealed they were ridiculed and shunned. And the family in response to this ridicule, did what people do in a situation like that. They spun a story. Putting their misfortune on the very twins of their family they had exploited. Exclaiming the twins had been symbols of bad luck this entire time. Of course to call Agito and Akito Sekiguchi exclusively would likely deny their heritage. Their Mother Hirose Kana married into the Sekiguchi family, likely unaware of their past. Perhaps as Hirose the twins may have had a better chance or maybe not likely at all. Their Father Sekiguchi Kaito had been delicately working on the tasks of resurrecting the Sekiguchi’s family honor. The Sekiguchi after their mighty downfall those years ago, were known for being strict, and ruled with an iron thumb. The family were careful about the image they crafted for themselves, afraid to lose further favor. Kaito was no different than being expected to uphold the family dignity. The Sekiguchi family were somewhat oddly known, they lived in a rural part of the Shimane Prefecture. They were sort of known to be a cult by the residents there. A family with strange beliefs who convinced people to join their ranks. Though no one is sure what the Sekiguchi believe. Fortunately for Ichika she was not initially brought into the Sekiguchi’s family, instead she would meet Kaito in Tokyo at a small stationary store he owned. Seki-Press. It would be Seki-Press that would fuel the twins with their earliest interest in books, paper, and poetry. The twins were born November 9th, 1996. Four years after Kaito and Ichika married. Kaito knew what twins meant to the family. The Sekiguchi family didn’t honor twins, in fact they saw them as omens of bad luck. The Hirose family were not nearly as superstitious and welcomed the twins with open arms. Unfortunately this would be short lived. Agito and Akito would only know a fleeting happy childhood that never was, Kaito wasn’t entirely a kind father. After all, he grew up influenced and surrounded by the Sekiguchi cult. His precious Ichika had become the Mother of Monsters. Before the twins displayed their innate cursed techniques, Kaito spent a lot of time on a religious crusade to cleanse Ichika and Agito and Akito of their sins. He would send messages back and forth between the Sekiguchi family back home in the Shimane prefecture, to find ways to purify Agito and Akito’s spirit. Meanwhile, Ichika and her mother Kana attempted in any which way they could to shield the boys from their Father’s religious fervor. Albeit Ichika was too afraid to leave Kaito. Despite the pressure of her own family to take the twins and run as far as she could. She should have heeded the warnings of her family. Because once the twins began to show strange abilities, Kaito began to unravel. His own family was pressuring him to return home to the Shimane family home, with the twins so the family could keep the twins from causing the family any harm. Ichika was naturally against it. For five years the twins knew of the stationary store, were going to kindergarten, and of grandma Kana’s candies. She was desperately trying to keep Agito and Akito from being persecuted. One evening. The three of them were whisked away. By the Sekiguchi family. Which Kaito gave them permission to do, to be taken when they were asleep to the Shimane Prefecture. Where Ichika would be imprisoned for her sinful womb and the twins would be purified. Ichika was locked away, under the Sekiguchi family home, in a holding cell. Where she was denied any visitations. From either of her sons. And the one person whom she desperately wished to see, Kaito, never came. Meanwhile the Twins. Would be isolated from the rest of the world. Taught, trained, and punished as forms of purification for their sins.
While being twins, the both of them adapted in different ways to their situation. After being kidnapped by their family, and forced to live away from the sounds of Tokyo. Unable to go to school or see the outside world. Surrounded by forest with no contact, all Agito and Akito had were each other. As children, their bond was strong, because it had to be. But as they grew older they began to grow apart. The Sekiguchi family spent no time distinguishing the two twins apart. Agito and Akito were treated as a singular whole and the only time the twins were treated any differently is the distinguishing between Akito being the nastier of the twins. Both of them experienced severe physical and mental abuse under the Sekiguchi family. Who were terrified of what the twins would bring to the family. Some days before dinner the twins were forced to wash their hands raw before they were allowed to eat with the family. If they were even allowed to eat with the family. They were told for a long time their mother Ichika was dead, she might have well been by the time they were twelve. The family was so scared of the twins' cursed energy, they were strictly trained in order for the family to believe that they could control the amount of power the twins could exert. Agito was always the more impulsive twin. Always a little bit more short tempered than Akito. And despite the daily abuse they underwent, it is probably Agito’s stubbornness that kept him going. Kept him standing. Kept him from falling or breaking mentally. It’s also probably the same stubbornness that pushed Akito away. Akito was the one who took the brunt of the abuse, taking on the burden of being the “more evil of the two”. They still worked together. Despite the tension between Agito’s hot temperedness and Akito’s more even temper. Though there was a tinge of jealousy from Akito, growing up. Because he perceived Agito to receive “better” treatment than him. This only worsened when Akito’s face was burned. This was the catalyst for the events to come. Agito always has been the more short tempered, the more stubborn, of the two, and the more quick tempered. Confronting his Uncle on behalf of Akito. His confrontation resulted in a shouting match between the two. For a long time his Uncle Daiske, had been bigger, and stronger than Agito. Though he would quickly learn, not mentally stronger than Agito. “He’ll probably never see out of that eye properly!” “Good, it’s what he deserves, get out of here before I punish you for your insolence,” “We’ve done nothing wrong to this family! It’s always been you, what did we do to deserve this?!” “Have you never heard the stories or bothered to listen! I should grab you by the ears and force you to listen! Twins are a bad omen! You will destroy this entire family! You must be cleansed of your evil!” “EVIL! You all are more evil than us!” “You shut your mouth you insolent- A hand strikes his face. His head tilts back. His cheek stings, Agito stares into the eyes of his uncle with burning rage, “I want you to jump off a cliff and die. You deserve to die.” He was fourteen at the time and didn’t know what he was committing to. The twins had always been aware of the Monody, but never believed it strong enough to save them from imprisonment. But Agito would be wrong. Within hours after the confrontation, the family was in a panic, screaming, rushing from the forest. Their Uncle Daiske had done exactly as he had suggested and requested. Agito saw an opportunity. An opportunity at this moment to run. With Akito. But where? Where could they go? They would have to go somewhere that would protect them. Protect them from their family. Somewhere that would shield them. Maybe that place he heard about. Heard rumors from his family about a Jujutsu High.
