That's what honestly came to mind [@VeyrinDay] when I saw the word [i] Conglomerate[/i] in your post.  I pictured them being this shady, illuminati-esque cabal of oligarchs controlling the corporations from the shadows, similar to how many people believe the elite control our world today through major corporations, banks, governments, etc.

That's really interesting what info you came up with.  I never had much thought of the Mafia being involved in our day to day life, but then again there are always opportunities to exploit the public legally.  Very good observation.
