Friendly and goofy, often going on with bouts telling long tales to any that are willing to listen when at the tavern or strangers passing by. When not interacting with others he is typically lazy and puts little effort in most things he does outside of his farm work when tending to the field. He carries pride in being a farmer, even enjoying the simple and easygoing life and as such has no care for or need for lofty goals like most as Kazu is content with the life he has. He is not quick to anger though won't stand by if one badmouths his family or the garden hoe he typically carries around with him or if touching his due to it being a rare treat that tends to take a few weeks to save up for. Although he is lazy; not being all that bright making it possible to trick him into participating or doing something if one knows how to manipulate him. While Kazumin is normally friendly and chill to most, he has a very low opinion and high disdain for the nobles with how they often mistreat the peasants or ignore their pleas for help. Wanting nothing to do with such people and their political ways of constantly vying for power and money, preferring to keep out of troublesome issues that has nothing to do with him. Yet, while he holds such disdain for nobles it does not mean he won't stand back were one in need of help and is fine telling his tales to those that are least respectful and willing to listen on the rare occasions any pass by the area.

Background

Current Occupation
Farmer
Any Past occupations?
None
Relatives
Kozu Nagasa, adopted father Mary Nagasa, Adopted mother
Skills
-Whittling -Telling stories -Expert handling of farm equipment -Fishing

History Summary
Kazumin has lived with the Nagasa family at their farm since as a baby after the eventful day his mother had dropped him off at their doorstep, left only in a blanket and a small intricate box assumed to be a music box. Taken in and treated as their own son, where he grew up having a nice and simple life and since his first venture into town with his father came to enjoy listening to the tales of strangers that it got him into telling wild and imaginative tales of his own. An easygoing and happy life despite the hardships of being a poor family along with the high tax rates the nobles often enforced on the common district. Through it all the Nagasa family endured, in thanks to their lands having rich soil that greatly helped in growing their crops whereas the smaller farms tended to struggle in. Though, the mistreatments from those in higher position and how they looked down on the peasants lead to Kazu's great disdain for nobles and hoped they would keep to their fancy castles and leave them be. Life carried like this though at the age of thirteen did his adopted parents finally tell him about his mother and the music box. Yet, Kazu wasn't too bothered being told about it since he viewed them as his family and had little care for a woman that abandoned him. He did show curiosity to the music box but having no key to open it that he mostly left it alone, not bothered about what its contents could be as whatever family he came from didn't matter anymore. And so, the box went mostly forgotten in his room though at times inspected it whenever his curiosity grew only to get no result every time. Life went on like normal afterwards. Nothing out of the ordinary happen as farm family were hardly worth the attention of nobles or thieves save for rare occasions of desperate thieves or the like. Kazu's days were spent tending to the field and when done with the work either lazed about or visited the tavern for the usual drinking and tall tales with familiar faces and strangers alike. Everything was fine and simple as usual, that is until a certain unexpected encounter that would change Kazu's way of life as an incident took place that led to him saving an injured individual from a wild boar. This person, in fact turned out to be Baron Asteroth Hugonin and after reluctantly bringing him back home against his misgivings. A decision that found Kazumin becoming sir Asteroth's ward, albeit came with plenty of resistance as he had no wishes to leave his family nor be involved with nobles and their games. Plenty of persuasions from the baron and his parents along with the proposal to be a ward for five years with promise that the Nagasa family be protected with a grand monetary reward if Kazu follows through and afterwards would be free to decide whether to remain or return home. Uncertain of why this man was so determined to make this nobody farmer a ward as he doubted it was simply because he saved the man's life and had an inkling it had to do with the music box as the man seemed to know of it. And so, out of some weird and strange stroke of luck (or bad luck were you to ask kazu), Kazumin found himself in a wagon alongside Asteroth to be taken to the Hugonin establishment. Unknown what awaited him or the discoveries he may make there whether they be pleasant or such that should have remained secret. Kazumin forever pondering...was saving sir Asteroth the right decision?

Romance

Have you ever been in love?
Nah, can't be bothered with that *rubbing his pinky finger in his ear as he answered*
What is most important in a partner to you? Describe your dream partner.
Dream partner? This ain't no romance novel not that I read that nonsense but guess I wouldn't say no to a girl with a good sense of humor and likes listening to stories? *shrugs his shoulders indifferently*
How do you display affection? What is your love language?
Love language? Now ya making this up and I ain't one for showing much affection...maybe a shoulder punch or pat on the back here and there
Have you had your first kiss? What was it like?
Nope, unless you count kisses from my ma. Farmer ma's around here all be too affectionate for my taste...always kissin on the cheek and whatnot and I tell ya it ain't pleasant nor fun for your cheeks *rubs at his cheek as if store from countless cheek pinching and smooches*
Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or why not?
Pfft, now that's a laugh if I ain't heard one. Only lovey dovey chumps go falling in love with the first gal or guy to lay googly eyes at ya. I rather actually know a person before I go hanging my heart out, besides ya miss out on fun conversations and the like
What does marriage mean to you?
Uh...never really thought much about that. Never had much interest in the whole marriage thing, I'd say just being loyal and there for each other. Someone you can trust to always got your back and comfort each other...least that's what I got from my parents
Are you currently crushing on anyone?
Nope, course I ain't been one to go really looking for that kind of stuff
Do you ever consider having children?
Ehhhh....maybe when I got me a farm of my own and doing well enough, but not anytime soon I'd say
History

Did you grow up nurtured or neglected?
Oh yeah, the Nagasa have been nothing but kind and treat me as one of their own even if I ain't their son by blood. you'll never meet kinder folks
When you were upset, where was your sanctuary?
Oh boy do I got a fun story for that one, but the gist is I found this nook by the stream with this old gnarled tree that gives just the best shaded area. Shade and a soft babbling creak with a bowl of pudding....ya won't ever find a more relaxin spot
What were you like in your teenage years?
*scoffs* Should be asking my ma that and she'd tell ya I was a rambunctious brat goin around asking any stranger I can to tell a story or listen to mine. Other than that, not so different from how I am now as I'm not one to stress over much.
How close are you to your parents?
We get along pretty well I'd say. They trust me to look over the farm while they're out and the like and they don't keep secrets from me save for that one about my 'actual' ma but I ain't bothered by that.
Do you have any trauma that haunts you?
Foxes...nasty buggers they are. One bit me on my left cheek and left a dang scar. I can show if ya like? No? Another time then
What advice would you give your younger self?
Change the hiding place for the pudding. Stupid critters kept getting into the stash, I'd throttle them pests if I could
Were you an obedient child or defiant?
You clearly ain't from around here cause not one kid around here gonna be obedient. We ain't like them stuffy nobles that go dictating every single notion of their life, we have a thing called freedom.
What is your biggest regret?
Saving Asteroth is the closest I'd say, but still not sure so I'll get back to you on that one
Personality

Describe your ideal sunday morning
Ideal sunday morning? Well that's an easy one, big ol plate of sausage and eggs and resting under the shade of a tree with a stick to whittle away at, maybe a slice of my ma's cherry pie if she gotten to baking one.
What kind of person do you aspire to be?
Oh I'm already the person I want to be. Pretty happy with my life as a farmer and liked well enough by the folks as I help out if needed otherwise I don't go pokin my nose in other people's business. Don't need to go getting wrapped up in stuff that don't concern me.
What bad habits do you have?
Have to say laziness and lack of any real drive. Also can be a bit stubborn as I've been told as I don't tend to know when to stop or end my tales as I go on for hours as others would tell ya.
If you could go back in time and change anything in your past, what would it be?
Honestly wouldn't change a thing. Pretty happy and content with my life though I'd probably keep myself from sneaking into the chicken pen the night that damn fox broke in. *rubs at his butt as he said that*
What is your greatest fear?
Losing the farm or losing the comfortable life I have I guess
What are your pet peeves
Don't like when others talk down to others or belittle their efforts. Also don't really like when someone ain't paying attention or chewing loudly when telling my tales.
When you are in a sour mood, do you like to be alone or with others?
Definitely alone. I ain't too pleasant when in a bad mood seeing as it don't happen too often so if you someone pissed me off then you know its bad.
Are you more likely to fight with your fists or your tongue?
I ain't so shy to tuffle and get a little rough here and there. Nothing big mind ya, just a little tumble to let off some steam, but I'd more rather drink my fellow mates than anything.
