"Yeah, I wish I had something spare to wear, but, well I didn't really expect this to happen. It's a good thing our apartment is on the first floor. If we're lucky, we might be able to get to our room without anyone seeing us. I would rather not have to explain what happened." Sam commented, picking up his handgun from next to the beast, then heading back towards the car with Stevie. Fortunately, they had been close enough to the dogwood tree that Sam knew his way back to the car, so they would not be lost in the forest, though his phone had GPS, even if they were. As traumatic as their experience had been, he could not help but to be excited to spend time with his new girlfriend. Hopefully, they would be able to forget the terrors they experienced, although he doubted they would be heading out on any more hikes any time soon. For a while, their walk back was peaceful. No more creatures bothered them and they were actually able to talk. There was a lot about the situation that did not make sense, but Sam was not thinking about those issues at the moment, as he was focused on Stevie. Slowly, however, something started to shift within Sam's mind. The scents and sounds of the small animals around them were...enticing. They excited the primal part of his mind that the infection had created, causing the urge to hunt to swell up within him. He did not understand what was going on at first, but by the time they were halfway back to the car, Sam had developed a splitting headache. At first he thought it might have had something to do with blood loss, but then the pain suddenly and violently spread to the rest of his body without warning. He fell to his knees, clutching his head and gritting his teeth. "Ahhh, what's happening to me?" He shouted in pain, not knowing that Stevie was going through the very same thing. The pain swelled up within him as his bones started to crack and reform. His muscles increased even further in size, along with the rest of his body. Fur began to form across his body, his snout lengthened, and a tail began to grow. He ripped out of his clothing as his size increased, the pain continuing until the transformation finally completed. As he let out a deafening roar, his ability to remember what was happening diminished. Sam's memory of the events after the transformation consisted only of blurry images and faint ideas. He and Stevie, now in their wolf forms, had ran off in search of prey. They hunted together, though Sam could not recall what they killed. Eventually, with their beasts' satisfied, they stopped, transformed back into their normal forms, then passed once more into unconsciousness. --- When Sam awoke, he found himself even more confused than before. As he sat up, he saw that it was dark, but strangely, he could see a lot better than he would have thought. Looking around, he immediately noticed that both he and Stevie, who was unconscious nearby, were naked, but with what had just happened to him, even that wasn't on the forefront of his mind. He had no idea where in the forest they were, and his memory of what happened after his transformation was spotty at best. He could, however, remember vividly the events leading up to the transformation. He remembered the pain of his body reshaping itself into its terrible new form. Although he was still greatly confused on what was going on or what they should do, there was one thing he could no longer deny: Stevie was right, they were now werewolves. "S-Stevie, are you alright?" He asked, his tone fearful.
