Name: Gideon, Sage of Steel Gender: Male Race: Raam Appearance: A young man with alabaster skin, his very eyes are a contradiction: soulless, but glistening with curiosity, an emotionless stare that is also filled with deep thought. Indeed, it seems that the Steel Sage is constantly scrutinizing everything around him with his cold logic. He bears scars across his athletic body from years of adventuring, scars he does well to hide upon layers and layers of clothing. Bio Gideon was always different from other Raam. As soon as he stepped out of Grams' sacred forge, the other Raam knew that something was quite.... off about him. He was remarkable in certain fields, but also did not have any inclinations towards any particular role. As a warrior, he possessed the wit of a tactician, but lacked the drive to fight. As a craftsman, he possessed a keen eye for detail, but not the desire to create. And as a hunter, he had the instincts of a predator, but not the hunger. Even as a priest of Grams, the profession that was deemed most suitable for him, Gideon still felt like an odd fit for the clergy, lacking the patience or duty to merely perform the daily rites of the God of Smithing. Instead, Gideon possessed a sense of purpose that no other Raam has possessed before. The call to adventure, the desire to explore the world around him. An incessant wanderlust filled the steel heart of Gideon. On the tenth day celebrating his creation, many things were revealed to the young Raam in a dream. Grams, himself, had bestowed upon him a blessing not of strength and martial arms, but of knowledge and wisdom. It was in this revelation that Grams had also revealed to his child his true purpose: to explore the world around him, to understand everything there is to know, to become all-knowing as a means of guiding the Metal God's children into a new age. And so, Gideon would set off from the temple-city of Allohold not long after, with the blessings of both his fellow priests and the deity that they so very much revered. Alongside a week's worth of rations and other traveling essentials, Gideon was given two things of note: a spear to remind him of his warrior's blood, and a small hammer to remind him of his creation by the hands of the Forgefather. For the next few years, Gideon would wander the world, learning of its many wonders. From the nearby azure shores of the Amethyst Isle to the far-off peaks of the Sky Reach mountains, Gideon had seen many a great and terrifying things, beholding much of the wonders of the world. More importantly, he communed with the other children of Lyreneth, learning of the vast cultures and ways of life of the different races, accumulating this knowledge and teaching it to those who wish to learn. It was through these travels and communications that he earned the honorary title of the Sage of Steel. Two decades after he began his travels, Gideon would once again receive a vision from the Forgefather, informing him of a new destination, a change from his aimless wandering. He was tasked by Grams to travel to the village of Dawn, the reasons of which would allude the Raam. He wondered why, out of all places, he would be tasked to travel to such a lowly hamlet, but he did not desire to question the will of his creator. After all, there was something that Gideon, himself, had sought in this village, far from merely following the mandate of his creator. After learning so much about the world, Gideon wished to learn more of himself. And so, Gideon traversed through fields of snow, soon reaching the village of Dawn in the wake of a terrible storm... Goals: When asked of the subject, Gideon would simply answer with the lofty goal of accumulating all of the world's knowledge, a mission bestowed upon him by his god. However, such a thing is only a stepping stone for what he truly desires. In his quest to become all-knowing, he learned something deeply about himself that separates him from everyone else, a state of his being that he cannot fathom with. When he walked in the valley of the shadow of death, he learned of an eldritch truth that would haunt him for the rest of his existence, a plague on his very self. As such, he wishes to find his own answers to this issue, something that would save him from this grisly discovery. Skills:

Body Born of Steel - The unique physiology of the Raam, who possess bones of which no mortal blade can pierce. In Gideon's case, his metallic body is weathered not from the crucible of battle, but from the many perils that would come to one who lived a life of travel and adventure.
Wisdom Forged by Steel - The first blessing bestowed upon Gideon after his creation, the core feature that set him apart from his brothers and sisters. Rather than an inborn aptitude for battle, Gideon possesses the accumulated knowledge of combat and warfare of the Raam, as granted by Grams himself. This has been further refined by Gideon's experiences, having encountered all matter of dangers in his adventures throughout Lyreneth. It is a form of "danger-sense" that allows the wielder to understand and potentially act against potential dangers to one's life. Of course, it is limited to the knowledge that Gideon possesses, and he could only make off-hand predictions against things he has never encountered before. It wouldn't be far off to call Gideon a living calculator.
Eyes Sharpened with Steel - The second blessing granted to Gideon, the source of his curiosity. Simply put, it is the accumulation and retention of knowledge, and the ability to process this knowledge quickly. Much like a blade, it is merely a hunk of metal on its own, but when sharpened by memories and experiences, is a formidable weapon that can cut through all matter of things. In Gideon's case, he is a treasure trove of knowledge, having learned of the cultures and courtesies of all the children of Lyreneth... or at least, all except the vicious Bastelians and the elusive Harpies. When asked, he can recall general knowledge of most of the people and lands of Lyreneth, from the crafts of the Krysa to the... dietary tips of the Valtem. However, aside from the Raam, Gideon does not possess any deeper secrets of the other races aside from what is known at a surface level. After all, he focused on the quantity of accumulated knowledge, rather than the quality.
Inventory:

A weathered spear that still maintains its strength despite being used for twenty years. Perhaps it is a testament to Raam craftsmanship, or more likely, it has been maintained by Gideon on his travels. Long enough to also be used as a nifty walking stick.
A craftsman's hammer, albeit too small to be utilized as a weapon. A treasured keepsake of Gideon's origins. Reliable climber's tool, surprisingly enough.
Holy symbol of Grams, a small tablet engraved with many individual squares, a representation of the solidarity of the Raam, as well as their very low numbers. Could also be interpreted as an unbreakable formation of soldiers.
Layers of padded furs that serve both as armor and insulation for the cold. Multiple layers of fabric and fur allow protection against piercing attacks. Quite comfortable to sleep in, as well.
A traveler's cloak, stitched with different quilted fabrics of the many cultures of Lyreneth. Despite this, it appears painfully modest. Protects against both the elements and home-sickness.
Soil samples. From everywhere. Everywhere.
A confusing medicinal kit made for Raam physiology.
Notebook mostly containing random musings, albeit codified like an encyclopedia. Possesses a drawing for almost every people.
