The birds seemed to perhaps sense that it was best not to try it. While animals were animals, and sufficient hunger could perhaps overpower a fear of the divine, it seemed as if they were not quite hungry enough to push their luck. Flora watched as the meat rolled over the flames. She leaned somewhat closer, saying little, but it was rather obvious how she felt even before her stomach growled again. The scent of the meat was rather gamey, as it cooked over the flame, but hardly unpleasant.
