[@Martian] Hmmm... So, I kind of like these ideas, and I don't plan on running multiple characters, so I'll go with whichever you think is a better fit? Arcade (A reimagined, non-villain character, simply with the same name. Or could be treated as the original, I don't know how you'd handle that; the character has existed in the comics since the 1970's, and still occasionally shows up, a relatively recent target of his being Gwenpool) I'd rather make him a... I don't want to say "anti-hero", but I definitely don't want him to be a villain, maybe not as heroic as others... I guess that's just a flawed hero, isn't it? He would have light based powers, instead of a death-trap puzzle gimmick a la his namesake. He can shape colors/light into various game implements; easier feats such as balls of light bouncing around an area like a pinball, shielding himself with giant cards, or throwing cubes (like dice) that roll like giant boulders. With concentration, he can simply manifest laser bolts, or create other light constructs with a video game aesthetic. His powers actually aren't limited to this, but his love of games make these methods the easiest for him to pull off. The light constructs are usually neon colors, and can, to a limited extent, maintain substantial force, enabling his constructs to inflict damage or block attacks. These are Mutant Powers, not magical.
