[color=silver]“Little to go on as usual,”[/color] Viktor commented dryly. With five hours to play with, he was sure he could take a second look at the briefing. It was obvious Martian Manhunter was distracted with Daphne’s condition after his long minute and a half pause before answering him. If not for the respect he had for the Justice League member, he might have walked away after the first thirty seconds. 

Besides giving the mission a second look, he figured he could put some thought into what Daphne's condition was. Thoughts swam through his mind as he left the briefing room and headed to his room.

I need to review more data… But I need everything… Only five hours… There’s a mission… It’s not my problem… But it matters…[/i][/color] His eyes looked upon a spot on his desk where a petri dish containing a leaf sample of Daphne used to be. The one taken after the conclusion of the first obstacle course run. The detached piece of her was not a true leaf, yet it behaved and was affected like one. He took a seat at his desk, and the idea of contacting Daphne’s father came to mind. 

He shook his head with a sigh, opened his laptop, and got to work.
