He has asked alot of questions about him and sometimes asking to convince his family to give up their quest to find the lost city of Kol. To which Bakel always replies that he must learn on his own and not to rely on him for help. Just for guidance here and there and it was his family's choice to try to finish what he started. Biography: Coming from the desert and from an oasis, Atuln and his tribe were always different from the other orc tribes. For unlike the other orc tribes that inhabit the continent, that tend to be warlike and favor martial skills. Atuln's tribe that while they can defend themselves, they have dedicated themselves to knowledge and the way of magic. This is thanks to the tribe's founder. Atuln's great grandfather, Bakel the Wise. A famous adventuring orc scholar who died before achieving his last quest. Finding the lost city of Kol, an ancient city said to be hidden somewhere in the desert of Ealinata. A task that as Bakel's descendant. Is charged with finding it. Not to say the least, this task Atuln weighed heavily on him as he grew up. Helping his family with finding the lost city while raising him. While it did take him to some amazing locations, little progress was made in finding the city. Which made Atuln unsure if his family would ever find the lost city. He knows the tales and legends of Kol. An ancient city built somewhere in the desert that contains of sorts of treasure and riches. But, the reason for his great grandfather's desire to find it is the trove of supposedly lost knowledge that lies inside. Wealth and riches mean nothing to him but distractions to the true value of the city. That is what Bakel apparently said about finding the city when he was alive. Still, Atuln started to have doubts about his family's quest and felt like he was going to waste his life trying to find a lost city. So he started to pray to his ancestors for guidance. One night after a particularly long trek from Southport to meet with some family friends. Did one of his ancestors speak to him while he was praying. It Bakel himself, and after talking with him. That Atuln not only agreed to a contract with him and gained the ability to use magic. But offered to help Atuln with finding his way. Becoming what his tribe called being a shaman. So after traveling to Southport to visit some friends. Did Atuln hear of Hoseforn's Academy for Gifted Adventurers and thought that maybe attending the academy could help him find his way. Or at least help prepare for the future. So he applied and got accepted. Then after saying goodbye to his family. Atuln made his way to Hoseforn to see what the academy has in store for him.[/hider]
