[color=silver]The spirit of competition is alive and well within the Rogers Siblings and when your brother is both 'older' but also pushed to succeed despite a history of dropping interests it's not a surprise that Tristan both feels like she has much more to prove and a drive to seei t done even when people tell her otherwise. There's nothing Tristan hates more than being told she can't do something. Between the two of them, Tristna is in several ways the responsible one; she walks Chopper and feeds him every day to the point where Chopper is happier to see her when she comes home. She'd like to cut loose and have fun, but the drive to break boundaries and prove people wrong and, yes, to keep her brother from doing something stupid has held her back in some ways. 

What makes Tristan different is that she doesn't need to have the spotlight on her, and often she would prefer otherwise. She does not like giving speeches in class and would just as soon spend a Friday night watching martial arts movies with a big bowl of popcorn and chop curled up next to her as she would going out and getting into trouble. Her dislike of public speaking doesn't translate to huddling with the team during a game, though, but that's considerably different than stammering over words when trying to explain the themes of The Grapes of Wrath - especially when you didn't finish the damn thing. 

Still, Tristan is a sore loser but she's not afraid to put herself out there. She came out as bisexual to her parents who really thought she had something more serious to say during a family meeting. They might not have thought much of it, but it helped Tristan realize that sometimes you just have to let people know who you are and if they reject you then that's on them. Granted, this hasn't helped her have a stable relationship but she at least asks people out. 

She's using this last year of high school to finally step out of the shadow of her brother she was blissfully living behind and becoming her own woman. She's already quieted many naysayers by taking the position of captain of the lacrosse team after her brother, the initial choice, turned it down. The sport might be male dominated but at Delbrook it's a co-ed team and to Tristan that only meant one thing: anything they can do, so can she.

Don't let her appearance paint the wrong picture. She looks good off the field but she looks just as good getting sweaty and dirty in game.[indent][sub]

[color=silver][indent][sub]Sawyer Rogers was once a rather decorated [url=https://i.imgur.com/hAD5gMd.jpg]MMA star[/url] who was given little choice but to retire after a bad injury during which he got way into the herbal remedy side of things no doubt thanks to his rehab trainer turned wife Dawn. To many it's a romantic story, the hard as nails fighter mellowing into new age hippie parent who still wants his son to excel but for Tristan it's more of an eye rolling account of why her dad owns a rasta tam hat. Compared to Tyler, Tristan was not given as much pressure to be a 'somebody' but because Tristan is an unabashed daddy's girl, she picked up a few of his beliefs anyway. Sawyer is softer with Tristan not because of favoritism but because he didn't want to see his little girl get hurt. She had to convince him to let her try out for a co-ed team and even then the first time she was tackled to the dirt Sawyer was ready to pull her out. And go off on the ref.

Would that she could be the dainty weed princess like her mom, but that was never going to happen so long as she was born three minutes after her fraternal twin. When Tyler showed an interest in Lacrosse, Tristan studied the rules and tried out as well. She kept up with him, never surpassing him, and settled into a role where her style of play - analyzing the situation, adapting, setting up - worked out well. In middle school the two of them were a bit of a menace, with Tristan doing what she could to get the ball to Tyler for him to score. Sure, he got the glory, but keen eyes and sharp minds knew it wasn't just Michael Jordan who won the Bulls those rings. Or whatever.

Tristan doesn't see herself going into sports professionally because outside of high school she'd never really get the same celebrity treatment that the men do. People know Tom Brady but it's not like the average person knows Hailey Rhatigan. Her father always told her brother to be someone who matters and Tristan has started considering what she wants to do to be someone who matters.
