Zeke had been talking to himself but Demetri had heard it all the same and thought he was being addressed. A Hermes kid was sitting there, watching the whole thing unfold. So much for Ezekiel having a chance to talk to Janelle first. Ezekiel looked at Demetri when he scrambled to find ginger for Ezekiel. He walked forward, taking the container from Demi before he looked for elderberry and honey. Ezekiel found the products easily enough thanks to Demetri reorganizing the stores back to how they should be. ”Thanks. There’s a camper with a cold so I figured I could brew a tea first. If you are making up supplies for Andy and Arthur you probably should for the others going on quests,” he noted. He took his supplies and brought them to a small hot plate and filled a pot with water before setting it on the burner and turned the mini propane bottle on. As he was working, he heard a familiar voice and turned around. Zeke right? Instantly Zeke’s blood started to boil faster than the water could heat up. He turned back around as Madalyne tried talking to him, saying something about Nancy having a prophecy. Well freaking good for her. Maybe she should run to their daddy and tell him. Ezekiel started to add some of the ginger to an infuser when Madalyne whispered into Zeke’s ear that she could help and he slammed his hand onto the counter. ”First off, I don’t trust my campers in the hands of anyone other than my siblings,” he said and turned to look at Madalyne. ”Second, you had the nerve to yell at me yesterday and don’t remember me enough to know for sure who I am?” Ezekiel shook his head and turned back to finish his task. ”If this prophecy is so damn important, why isn’t Nancy here herself?” Madalyne looked down for a moment and sighed slightly to herself knowing that she shouldn't really have snapped like that in front of him or anyone really for that matter. "Listen, I apologize for that yesterday we all were under a lot of pressure last night and I really am sorry for snapping at you like that." Madalyne said to Zeke, she was pretty sure that Nancy had mentioned what happened to her in the past at the Lotus Hotel. "It's because it involves you, and a few others, her and the Lotus Hotel and Casino." Madalyne said quietly looking at Zeke. "She isn't here because she is shaken up about going back there, and she asked for you personally." She told him. Ezekiel finished adding the herbs to the infuser. Now all he had to do was wait for the water to boil and waiting never made a pot boil faster. All he could do was listen to Madalyne and resist the urge to roll his eyes at her apology. He looked over at Demetri, feeling compelled to look at the demi-god. A softness settled over Ezekiel and he sighed in some form of defeat before looking at the floor. They had all been pretty heated yesterday and Ezekiel did feel bad that Madalyne had been cursed. Zeus had created that curse himself and it was some nasty piece of work. His head snapped up when Madalyne briefly explained some of what the prophecy was about. The Lotus hotel and him? Zeke was torn with wanting to tear out of the infirmary and listen to what Nancy wanted to say and to stay put, barricade the door and refuse to leave the camp ever again. Nancy didn't talk much about her time there but words unspoken left a bigger mark than details freely shared. "I need to finish this first," Zeke nodded towards the pot of water warming and cup with herbs. Madalyne stared at what Zeke was doing and it looked like that he was making some kind of tea by the looks of it, before turning her attention towards him. "It looks like you are making tea. I could finish making it if you'd like." She offered. Ezekiel glared at Madalyne, not fully trusting her and he likely wouldn’t when it came to the infirmary and the care of the patients but she was here for his half-sister and if there was one thing he could trust it was Madalyne caring for Nancy. ”Fine. When the water is about to boil, pour it into that cup. Let the herbs steep for five minutes before taking out the infuser. I’ll send my half-sibling over to show you what camper that goes to,” he said and dropped his arms, looking at Demetri. ”Are you coming?” He turned without waiting for an answer and looked for his half-sibling from earlier. He pointed out Madalyne and explained the tea he was making before grabbing his shirt and jacket from earlier and changed once more. Ezekiel discarded the shirt he had worn to tend to the campers into a bin to be washed and sanitized before walking out of the infirmary. He hoped Demetri would choose to follow but Ezekiel’s mind was on other things now. He didn’t go on a quest because he didn’t want to leave camp. He wanted to stay here, look after campers, play games and go after the occasional monster that breached the barrier. ”Prophecies be damned. I’m not leaving,” he decided. Zeke made it to the beach, finding Nancy and crossed his arms and looked at her. ”Well, you got me here. What’s this damned prophecy?” His physical stance and words were hard but his eyes were fluid as they shifted over Nancy’s form, conducting an assessment to make sure she was okay.
