Celia lived a mostly quiet life, growing up in a cottage near a lighthouse which her parents tended. The friends she made were never lifelong, with her shy and withdrawn nature proving ever the obstacle in maintaining connections. While other children played and socialized, Celia took to whatever hobbies that caught her interest. Theater would have been productive were it not for the stage fright. Choir for the same reason. Pottery and sewing were manageable for a while, but never grasped Celia's interest for long.

She graduated college later on as an English major, with the intent of becoming a teacher after earning her certification. Her true inspiration came one day when she witnessed the sight of doves flying towards the horizon against the sun-streaked clouds; a moment she wished she had a camera for, and one she would be sure to be prepared for again. Celia took to the art of photography, spending her days finding candid moments to capture and building her portfolio. Her work caught the attention of many clients who booked her for weddings, calendars, and the like. For the first time in what seemed like an eternity, Celia had found a craft that stuck.

As a further sign that her world was going to be shaken up as she knew it, an old friend had reached out to Celia, inviting her to the town of Avalon. Leaving her better judgment behind, she allowed her whim to take up the offer while she still had her momentum.
