Just as Chen had turned to begin to run, the police had already arrived. Next thing he knew he was in the back of a police car, headed to the station. They couldn't arrest him, right? He never touched the body, he didn't go around that area often, there was no way they'd have anything against him. All he had to do was just play along, and they'd let him go. Well, hopefully.

Talking with the detective woman was painless enough. They were pretty basic questions that he could answer easily. "Do you have an alibi? Did you touch the body? Did you notice anything or anyone suspicious?" That sort of deal. The longest part was mostly the waiting, but after an egregious couple of hours, he was finally released along with the rest of his cohorts. [hr]
The walk home was a little tense as he led the pack towards his house, given what had happened, but eventually he heard Asumi ask about dinner, which was quickly followed by the sound of a whale's call. Er, wait, no that was somebody's stomach growling. Guess it was later than he thought. But the question still remained. He had a few ideas, but nothing concrete.

He could see his house in the distance. It didn't stand out much the rest of the other nearby houses, but it was still his home. He pointed to his house off in the distance.
